No points, but impressed anyways. That one play where he holds the bouncing puck in at the blue line, fakes in and goes out to get past the first checker and then into the face-off circle he finds an open man in the slot, through a very tight space, was really nice.
The other notable point is that he is fast. He has those long strides and he's very quick off the mark. I saw several instances where he got the puck and then burst past a crowd into the open. A lot of those guys who couldn't catch him were forwards, so it's not like he's whizzing past Hal Gills or Doug Murrays. (forever the standard to whom slow skaters will be compared).

If Orville can make passes like that would make both Suze and CC even more dangerous weapons and frees Suze from being the setup man

Eriksson with a goal and assist in Växjö’s 5-2 Champions League play today. He also played 21:24, so gaining the trust of his coach in terms of decent ice time.

Erikssonn will turn 19 in just under 4 weeks. This start is very encouraging for an 18 year old.

Kapanen with a goal (GWG too) and an assist in a 3-0 win today. He was also 71% on faceoffs too.

Roy was not the only prospect having a good night. Over in the NCAA, Blake Biondi assisted on UMD’s first three goals in a 4-0 win over Bemidji. Fowler also won his third straight game. Nice start to his NCAA career.

I see they've sent Mesar back to Kitchener. Probably better for his development, especially if Houle wasn't going to play him in Laval but still the organization better be keeping a close eye on Houle and how he is handling prospects.

That's a concern for me, I thought mesar had a really good game yesterday...

Beck has had a quiet start offensively with only one goal heading into last night’s match. He changed that quickly scoring all three of Peterborough’s goals in a 4-3 OT loss.

Luke Tuch is making the most of his top line assignment with stud Macklin Celebrini. He had a goal and two assists last night in a big 8-2 BU win.

If he turns into a bigger Pezzetta, even with no added hockey sense or productivity, he could still be a very effective 4th liner. Brother rivalry will push both of them. The kid already has bad dandruff reputation so to have two heavyweights that will back each other and take no prisoners is massive upgrade in toughness. X is already rated at 2nd overall in fighting, right behind Reaves, who will retire soon. Two X men? Remember the days were we were "a fast little team"? Drouin has a ton more talent than Pezetta and X put together but hard work and toughness beats unused talent every time. We are building a team that depends upon hard work and teamwork and tough to play against.

Konyushkov plays tomorrow, coming off a nice two assist performance on Saturday in a 4-2 win. He is logging big minutes on the top pairing averaging just under 24 minutes a game and has 11 points in 21 games from the back end. Pretty good for a 20 year old in the KHL.
He is #6 in the clip.

Eriksson named to Sweden’s U20 team for the upcoming five nations tournament in Czechia in November. This is the last big tune up before the WJC selection camp or the final roster is named, so it is a pretty stacked team. There are a few guys playing in the NHL/North America who still could be loaned to the WJC, so he is definitely not yet a lock. However, good to see him get this far considering how he missed most of last season due to injury. As a November birthday (he turns 19 next month), this is his last year of WJC eligibility.
