Proof the Bruins are smoke and mirrors. Good structure, which makes the goalies look better than they are, but not enough talent.

Matheson is feast (offense) or famine (defense) type d-man. It would be an incredible step forward if he could clean up some of his sloppy play but considering that he is about to turn 30 year old I am not sure if he is on the learning curve anymore. Clearly if Montreal was presently constructed to make the playoffs, Matheson would not be first pair guy, but the roster is what it is. Fully agree on the famine front. not so much on the feast front. He's a great skater, and that is the end of his offensive skills. He is a turnover machine on the PP. and typicla of his breakaway in OT; some great skating but no finish. Absolutley no IQ and cement hands. |

They are useless on the pp... wtf... how can guys with talent not generate anything... do they not practice the pp? I thought the PP looked good. The problems occured when #17 touched the puck. They had good puck possession and were whipping it around. Some good looks, just slow to shoot This is where we miss Dach. Anderson has no business on any PP. He can't pass and we know he can't score, yet they don't have him in front of the net? |

That was one fun game to watch. We were the better team. Don't know how Bruins have so many points. And to see Marchand being the goat over and over.
Best part was seeing Xman doing his best Chara impersonation and the Bruins do not have an answer.
As far as growth: that OT goal by Guhle is huge. The guy is getting better and better. Barron had a solid game. Thought Slafs was noticeable although i don't like him with Dvo.

Officiating took a tilt when Brad Marchand started beaking off at the refs ... I think the Habs had 4-straight PPs when Marchand decided the refs should hear about it ... now, I don't know what was actually said, but that was about the time Boston started getting some calls, including that make-up 5-on-3 ... that said, though, if he did influence that, then hats off to him ... as for the game, this team just doesn't give up ... they were prepared to play the Bruins, and it showed ... they held them to 2 goals ... Martin St. Louis started his postgame presser by congratulating the Alouettes for making it to the Grey Cup ... Cheers. |

After Marchand, Pasta and MacV there's not much there. And other than maybe Pasta, none of them are world class. Can't figure out how they have their record. Couldn't figure it out last year,even when they had Bergeron and Creaky.

Edwards is a goof, always has been. I guess he knows his constituency eats up wild hyperbole that generally does not match the events everyone can see with their own eyes.
Hopefully Gallagher can stay healthy all season, not because he suddenly becomes tradeable. He is untradeable. But Gallagher is having a good season thus far, not to mention Monahan, so let's hope those guys get some luck with their health.

Hopefully that 3rd line keeps producing and we can get a decent return with Monahan knowing he will be welcomed back to Montreal in the off season
