I remember Lebeau making some big plays in the run to the '93 Cup win, though I have to admit I forgot he had such a prolific regular season that year.
Well, the boys should be feeling better about themselves after halting the losing streak. And considering San Jose is the dumpster fire of the NHL, it is tempting to assume the Habs will win tomorrow afternoon. Who knows with the strange puck drop hour and Montreal's tendency to give up too many high quality changes against.

I had a look at Lebeau's numbers too. In the Q they were just mind boggling. His last season there was 94 goals AND 94 assists! He even had s 70 goal season on the AHL.

That was an incredibly young team. The top 9 scorers were all 22 or younger and the top 5 were all 20 years old. They had one player who was 31 and everyone else was 25 or younger and there were very few 25 and 24 year olds. Most were 22 or less. They got bounced in the first round and youth probably had a lot to do with that. Benoit Brunet had 117 points, nearly as many as Lebeau.

Some interesting numbers on the Habs. Some players will be affected by ice time, quality of competition and quality of teammates, but Guhle's figures are amazing. He is often playing against the best on the other team and there really isn't any partner who could boost his numbers and he's sporting a plus 7. Maybe he missed (while injured) games against good teams, but I'm not going to dig further into this. That surely proves how good he already is and, IMO, how good he is going to be. Move over, Charlie McAvoy.
Jake Evans - plus 5. He's having a good year. Maybe we should move him up to Slafkovsky's line and move Dvorak down.
Other interesting facts...Caufield at zero while Suzuki is -6. Arber is at +1, despite so many people considering him disposable. Gallagher at -11 is a disappointment, but deserved. Much worse than his 'regular' linemates of Monahan and Pearson.

Whoever runs the pp on the habs needs to lose their job... the sharks are 30th in the league on the PK and we did not even get a dangerous scoring chance

It's clear this experiment is not working. Put Caufield back with Suzuki. MSL doesn't have a lot to work with but what does work should not be messed with. And please put Anderson in the press box. We hsve been remarkably unlucky in that the three high picks we have had in a 10 year period all coincided with the worst talent levels of that decade. Not once did we hit a year with a generational player or even a franchise one. We always had a pick just after the top guys were gone or there weren’t any obvious top guys.
Its not always great drafting. Even the Oilers knew enough to pick McDavid. The 3rd pick in 2017 for example, could have been Heiskanen, Makar or Pettersson. But not us. We can’t have nice things.
