Just watched on pvr. Primeau competed hard and looked like an actual nhler tonight. Slaf is taking baby steps and looking good.
I don't know what to say about Barron on that tying goal. If he is concussed he shouldn't be out there, I'm sure he would have been assessed. That play he made was as mentally slow motion as it gets. It was the lackadaisical, zoned out play that got him hurt in the first place. No awareness at all

That was one heck of a game. So wanted to win the way Sabres were being such dicks.

Slafs with a beauty shoot out to go with another strong performance. Once again the best player on that linel. Fitting he scored on the shoot out but nothing for Nick and Cole. And Slafs holding his own in the fight was a good introduction for him. This Clifton guy is a real dick with a poke from behind to Slafs nads. Good for Slafs to say "that ain't happening". And when did these Sabres become such dicks. Defintely need the Sheriff, or the very least Pezz. Koviheadache cannot be your enforcer.

And cudos to the PK for that late reg and into OT kill - very impressive. Matheson was brilliant getting Dahlen out of the zone after he had lost his stick - never seen that before. Don't think I've ever no 3 on 3 in OT for the full 5 minutes since they changed the rule.

Barron has an awareness problem. The plays in which he got injured and gave up the tying goal were a result of his unawareness that a Sabre was near by.

On the first one, i don't believe he realized the Sabre had just come off the bench. Bieska, who probably just watches the hi-lights, didn't see it either. But sabre comes off the bench and goes right at Barron with Barron not aware he's come off the bench. Now Barron should still be aware if he's only seeing 4 Sabres. But it certainly was not Barron "trusting" the Sabre to not hit him

On the turnover, I think Barron had assumed Josh had taken the Sabre out of the play. Josh hit the guy up against the boards but did not eliminate him as he should have. But Barron should have made sure and not assumed the Sabre was out of the play.

In any event, Barron had a bad game. But awareness is not something you can teach. So we'll have to watch but that is not a good attribute.
