Slafkovsky won't get an assist, but Caufield's goal has zero chance of happening without Slafkovsky's forecheck Looks like he did get an assist and he should. He knocked the puck off the defender's stick and the puck went to Suzuki. Slaf may not have touched the puck itself but he hit the stick blade which then hit the puck, so to me that's as good as a touch.

I loved to argue with him. Even though we agreed on 90% of everything, i loved taking the opposite side just to challenge him. I caught him on twitter, pushed a bit to see him back on a regular basis. Came in for a short while and disappeared again. I'm not doing that twice. He knows where we are and it's up to him. Nor am i going to reveal his name or twitter account. If he wants his space, by all means.... Miss his takes and his trade suggestions. He would have done better than Bergevin, but that's a low bar. Several of us would have done better than Bergie. He played (plays?) the game, knows the game and thinks it through. On occasion, he wiffed and of course, i was there to torture him on it. (See Dyment thread.) On the other hand, he brought up players like Dunn (who we both liked), but BargainBin never took our calls.

That's twice now that Matheson's coverage on Nelson has been non existent.

Barron is terrible. He needs to sit and watch for a few games

If we lose this one it will be a GIANT, in the nuts reminder the lack of defensive systems in place.

Incredibly dreadful third period. Why would St. Louis put Evans out there as the second centre for a d-zone faceoff with five minutes left? Suzuki is also a righty. Call a frickin' timeout and put Monahan out there. Coaching 101.

It all started this period with a shortie, courtesy of their awesome PP.

Dobson is a great young d-man. But okay dude no need to act like a hero in a nothing scrum.

Bit surprised to see Slafkosky out there in the last minute of a defensive situation.

Though now my sleepy eyes ask, well was Monahan out there on the preceding shift? Because I sure would pick Monahan over Evans, in particular since it would give the lefty-right flexibility in the dot. At least the boys pulled this one out. Because after being so good for 40 minutes, they were just so bad in the final 20.

Bit surprised to see Slafkosky out there in the last minute of a defensive situation. Marty keeps exposing players to various situations they may want them to experience. It really makes one wonder how seriously "Winning" is this year and it's probably a joint plan between HuGo and MSL.

After 30 games, Caufield is on pace for 22 goals Over the past 4 weeks his pace has gone 24-23-24-21-22 so he's picking it up again I've mentioned it before but I wonder about the surgery. He may be well enough to play but I wonder what the real recovery period is. Perhaps he still has not regained full strength in the shoulder yet. I hope that's the case as thf alternative is pretty depressing.

Perhaps he still has not regained full strength in the shoulder yet. I hope that's the case as thf alternative is pretty depressing. He doesn't seem to have the strength or accuracy in his shot, it like he's hesitant and afraid to reinjure it. And being a hockey plyer he won't say anything because of the hockey mentality
