Barron has a vic20 processor... watch him in his own zone, he's always looking for the puck there may be some here that have no clue the reference here but i would give Barron at least Credit for C64 level processing if ya ask me. |

Life flys by waaaaay too fast and the game seems to the same to him sometimes. I frequently get the impression that he thinks he has more time or is making a safe choice when he isn't. Those moves that worked when he was playing at lower levels just get him into trouble now. I really want him to figure that out as he continues to develop because his skills on offence are valuable. Hoping Marty et al can retrofit that vic 20 to a commodore 64 at minimum. |

I noticed that Slaf's awareness this year and ability to see what's going on is much better... the different things they did in the off season to help him... the goggles etc, seem to really have helped... maybe Barron needs those goggles... or maybe a processor upgrade is required...

I keep seeing that play where his stick is lifted in the slot, the puck is stolen and the guy scores (can't recall who...some schmuck, not a sniper). He was facing his own goalie, so all he had to do was backhand the puck to Guhle and instead he tries to twist around so he can make the pass on his forehand (  ??). WTF?. It was dumb and useless. Take the easy route. Does he not have a backhand? Marty should have give him the back of his hand for that play. You can only try and boost a guy's confidence for so long and if he doesn't react appropriately, there's a more serious issue at work. |

I got a new app on the tablet where it breaks down a video to as many pictures as you want PER SECOND. Lately I'm downloading the highlight videos on utube then running it through the app. What I'm seeing is not a pretty sight. I've posted a few and they could be straight out of a PeeWee hockey team and THAT is why I'm getting less and less tolerant of our coaching. Even worse are some of the decisions our players are making. I'm not excusing ANY player who can't see obvious and glaring on ice decisions. It does NOT take some enormous IQ to see that you are out of position. Is this bad coaching or bad decision making by the PK'ers?  |

Rule number 1 through 97 says that the puck moves FAR faster then the player that's why it's critical to play the position, cut off the lanes, keep it on the wall and then if you see an opportunity, play the man. Even Armia is playing too high. Which also means that one of those two guys caught high was a defenceman playing way out of position. In that sequence lots of brain dead puck chasing. Got scored on. |
