As I said in the Fla thread, i'm going with the over/under on Matheson crazy dangerous turnovers at 5.

Dvorak got hurt? I guess Habs games make me irritated and sleepy, so I must missed it.
The boys probably think, warm Florida not a bad locale to ring in New Year. But man, every year this road trip is just a kick in the pills.

This team needs to lose games to get another high end forward like Cayden Lindstrom

Nick Suzuki hustles on a back check , destroys a Lightning player with an unexpected check, then the puck transitions to Caufield who passes to Slafkovsky… who passes instead of shooting … to Matheson, a guy who hasn’t passed to Slaf on the PP in about 20 games
Shoot the puck Slaf. I thought we were past this

Armia in the lineup. So much for accountability.

Armia is actually playing hard tonight. I would like to think, however, that if Montreal had 13 healthy forwards on this trip then St. Louis would have scratched Armia after his putrid performance last night.

I don’t see head contact there. But I do see instigating

Did they call a 5 minute penalty for head contact or charging?? They can’t change the actual call just the length of penalty under review

Caufield scored his 10th goal of the year. This is tied for the team lead on MTL
There are 92 players in the NHL with more than 10 goals

Clean hit, big hit but clean. At least common sense prevailed and Anderson did not get a major.
Cooper did not say much. When he thinks the refs are pinching his team, he usually lets loose, so that tells me the hit was clean.

Good to see Caufield with goals in consecutive games. Nice steal on the play.

Just when you thought you’ve seen everything!??
What exactly are they reviewing here? Are they on the phone with Toronto to find a way to get out of giving Kova a goal?

For those that are not watching the game. Kovacevic gets the weirdest goal in NHL history
Tampa shoots the puck in on Montebeault. Monty drops the puck when he sees all the Tampa players going to the bench, even the goalie
Kova skates four or five strides with the puck and fires it into the empty net from inside MTL’s zone

Considering Tampa has had an NHL team for, what, like 30 years, it is kind of funny how a lot of their fans do not seem to know the rules of the game.

An .800 save percentage for Monty. Brutal. It is very disappointing to realize Monty and Allen played well enough last year to cost us a bottom 4 pick. And now, Monty at least, seems to be back to his pre-last season production.
Did we at least outplay this aging, walker using Lightning team?

Just when you thought you’ve seen everything!?? What exactly are they reviewing here? Are they on the phone with Toronto to find a way to get out of giving Kova a goal? I was yelling at the screen watching the refs on the headphones. WTF!!! It's not complicated. You don't need to speak to Toronto. The four refs get together and each one indicates whether they blew their whistle. If the answer is "no", which was clearly the case, then good goal. There is nothing for TO to review! It's as if the refs were calling TO to ask "What do we do? Fans here are really mad."
