Only the Habs could make a goalie duo sporting a save percentage of less than .900 look like world beaters.
Well we do only have 1 NHL line I guess, the rest are just so much detritus. Looks much the same as last year

These refs are unusually dreadful even by the low NHL standards that prevail in the Bettman era.

That's actually not the reason it sucks It sucks because they collapse the box and don't pressure the puck. The other team just keeps passing quickly waiting for a Hab to not adjust, then it's a seem pass and in the back of the net. They play the diamond, this means guys at the side of the net are not covered

Armia pressures the puck on the PK, and gets a shortie
Can't take that one away from him

How many times are MTL gonna pass it into a spot where a guy has 2-3 people on him instead of shooting?

Why is a guy who plays huge 5v5 and PP minutes like Matheson, who is not really a stout shot blocker or all that savvy defensively, playing regular PK shifts?

Including PP’s I saw Matheson and Savard on for 3 goals against and the positioning was awful.
Did Allen implode?
Is Devon Levi going to crap the bed in his next game? To balance off today’s game of course.
Enquiring minds want to know.
At least Boston lost tonight.

First few games of 11 forwards looked good as i believe the playewrs need to stay fouces to know when they're up and who they're with. But after. afew games they're tired and confused. Is there really no one in Laval who could use msome time with Le Club? Even try one of the D up front. Get X back up!

But as we move into Feb and March games get tougher, I think we will end up closer to where we were last year, we don't have the depth for that level of competition

I understand what you both are saying, but I wouldn't hang my hat on trades
Last year, when we were actively tanking, we only managed to trade Nate Schnarr and cap space. Until that trade I doubt 95% of Habs fans knew he was a Hab.
We acquired Frederic Allard, Tony Sund, and a San Jose 5th rounder.

It was a nice homecoming for Levi. But to be honest the kid has been leaking goals all season and one has to wonder about the wisdom of Adams/Granato in this regard.
I kind of expected the Habs to lose last night. Two weeks ago the Sabres got throttled by Columbus and everyone was speculating about whether the coach was on the hot seat. So Buffalo got focused for a night and thrashed Toronto. Then they start playing lazy and losing again, culminating in an embarrassing loss in Ottawa. But they were ready to skate and fight for pucks last night. However, I would bet they revert back to their bad habits. Ottawa is the same story.

I've never followed Levi. I know he played college hockey in the U.S. so I assumed he was American. Didnt know he is from the West Island of Montreal.
