Read some comments on another board that said Evans played almost 4 minutes of the OT. Why would he even be out there at all? As i was watching it did seem like he was out there all the time. The only thing i can think of was he was the best Hab on faceoffs prior to the OT and every draw was in their own end. Meant nothing though as the team went 1-5 on draws in the OT. I had to check NHL.com and was shocked he only had 3 shifts totaling 2:17 of the OT. I honestly think that was wrong. Evans is quickly becoming my most disliked current Hab. Coach seems to love him but he's usually just a waste of ice time to me. He may be defensively aware but he never makes the right choice on O. This is just another example of a Hab coach playing not to lose in OT every time he sends him over the boards. If this wasn't Marty, we would all be ripping the coach. It was an awful effort by the entire team as said by everyone but the OT was especially atrocious. They were consistently caved in and no matter who won the puck, the Flyers just attacked that player and won the puck back. This non playing of Slaf in the OT is also ridiculous. Like he would do no better. I know he's not the fastest player out there but c'mon. OT times Matheson 2:20, Suzuki 2:18, Evans 2:17, Caufield 1:59, Monahan 1:54, Anderson 1:26, Guhle 1:24, Struble 1:16 and Ylonen!!! 6 seconds. Frig Jesse why didn't you score with your opportunity Now all that said, the current lineup on any given night is very poor. I know injuries have hurt but this roster still needs a lot of work.
