As Barron shot that in I was wondering if that was a good play or not. No Habs anywhere near. Was that for a line change? Why throw the puck away when you could just turn back into your own zone and keep possession?
Barron wouldn’t play another minute for me. Puts too much pressure on teammates.

Entertaining twenty minutes, but man the Habs do some stupid things in their own end. Montreal's goalies have 'stolen' the most points in the league, but obviously that is not a sustainable recipe for success. Guys like Guhle and Harris are young but they need to be better. And the forwards need to be harder to play against too. They've also cost the most points Primeau 💩 the net, and tonight Monty is stinky as well Monty has made some excellent saves. The coverage has been awful.

Primeau was bad in Ottawa and Montembeault is bad tonight in Boston, but come on man just take a look at team goalie numbers on NHL.com. Montreal's are far from 'costing' their team the most points in the standings.

Price used to make some excellent saves too, but you could always count on him for 1-2 stinkers. It's those stinkers that take the good out of players. He has let in 3 real doozies tonight

Montreal's are far from 'costing' their team the most points in the standings. Just look at tonight. Monty has made some excellent saves, and his expected goals against would be statistically good, but he has also let in stinkers. That's costing us points. That's what I mean. Even though they statistically look to be saving our bacons, they let in goals at the absolute most in opportune times, that the stats don't show

With Monahan's three assists tonight, the Habs 4 players with more than 30 points ... then none in the 20s

Evans completely not paying attention to Zacha beside him. 8-4. That's it for Montembault. Fans rubbing it in now singing the Ole song.

Tanknation says this is a must lose game, hopefully the wild win against the panthers Edit: Wild win 6-4, they are 2 points behind with the same number of games played If Buff beats Tampon and the blues beat the caps we could be in the 6th lottery position Tanknation wanted a loss but this is ridiculous... msl must be frustrated

FFS. Heinen with a hat trick? They look like they have packed it in. Embarrassing. I can take the losing. I can't take lack of effort and dumb hockey. 15 goals allowed in the last 2 games.

The leafs lost to the nucks and the Hens lost to the jets Not a stellar effort by Vancouver. They had 3-0 & 4-3 leads and the Leafs had tied it in the 3rd. But they did come back with 2 in the 3rd to win it 6-4.

OMG! That was ugly, and humiliating! Thank God they didn't get the 10 spot.
No one played well but some real stinkers. Slafs with perhaps his most bonehead game of his career. And then there was Nick 'Whatever' Suzuki. And all the D were horrible. Can we get X back up so at least he gets some reps.
One thing is for sure: we will never be a contender if Evans is in your top 9, and perhaps even top 12. The guy is on pace for 4 goals.

The best part of the game was wearing our colors on the road. The Bruins looked great too in their vintage white jersey. Please bring back the home whites!
I’m liking what Joshua Roy brings. He’s capable of making plays. The assist on the Armia goal was fantastic.
Monahan and Armia showcasing some trade value?

Caufield, at least, kept the goal streak alive. It's now at 5 games.
He's on pace now for 29. I'm rounding up. His point total, though, is almost identical as last season.

I wonder if Montembeault's bell was rung when he took that hard shot square to the face mask in the 1st. The Bruins scored two quick goals almost immediately after, and he struggled in the second and third.

Caufield has picked up his pace and is now on pace for 28 goals
This is his highest pace the entire year and bodes well
If he scores a goal every game the rest of the season he’d end up with 52

If he scores a goal every game the rest of the season he’d end up with 52 Seems reasonable. If he hits 40, to me, that would be an incredible feat given how this year has gone, again, starting with Kirby Dach's injury. Every opponent can just key on that line. That may change slightly, for a couple of weeks at least, with Roy and Monahan clicking so well. Two guys that improve every line they're on. They've even help Armia continuing that scoring he found just before lining up with those two. they looked really worn out vs Boston, so having this 3 day break between games is timely. Then 3 more games before the all bland game and a week's rest. That should recharge them and help some bruises heal. The flip side is that the league speeds up after the ho-hum game, so every player is going to need to up their own game.

The Bruins scored two quick goals almost immediately after, and he struggled in the second and third. Very likely. I wondered about that right after seeing the replay. You can't get hit that hard by a puck in the head, helmet or not, and not have your brain tumbled. Bruins seem to be having that run of luck like last year. Important goal goes in off player's skate, opposing goalie gets puck in face from a hard shot. Last year their luck ran out, and I expect that to happen this year too. Perhaps sooner because they don't have the talent level they had last year.

I pulled up TSN;s website and saw that they had a story (from yesterday probably) covering Josh Anderson's return to the line-up. As if that was a good thing.
To wit...Someone posted MOntreal's advanced stats scorecard (that graphic depicting defensive and Offensive contributions on horizontal bars with every player ranked top to bottom). Monahan and Roy were at the top (Bingo) and guess who was last?
It is senseless to showcase this guy. Just send him to Laval and collect the $1MM CAP benefit, or check what it would cost to buy him out. That may be Berg's worst contract, even worse than Gallagher's, though one could have quite the debate and include Price's. Cripes, what a collection of bad deals he made. I'd say that pushes him a nose ahead of Reggie for worst GM in our history.

Burgerbrain is the worst, Reggie had never work as part of a management team, Burgerbrain did, in Chicago, which was one of the better ones at the time but he never learned not to be an arrogant PoS. But I blame him most for hiring a clown as a coach, extending him and ruining the best years of the best goalie we had since Roy.
