Tanknation says this is a must lose game, hopefully the wild win against the panthers
Edit: Wild win 6-4, they are 2 points behind with the same number of games played
If Buff beats Tampon and the blues beat the caps we could be in the 6th lottery position

I never get tired of that April '71 playoff game. It was the high point of that era for me. In hindsight, even better than the comeback vs Chicago in Game 7 of the finals.
It was the end of an era for a lot of players on that team but it also had some kids (Dryden, Lapointe) and some young vets (Lemaire, Mahovlich, Cournoyer) who would carry that memory on . Overall, a veteran team, but tons of heart. Down 5-1 to a juggernaut of a club and they come back. That put a real question mark into the minds of the Bruins, a chink in the armour of confidence.

I enjoyed the games without Anderson but now he’s back. Sigh.

Every Hab player tries the same move when they get in alone on the goalie. They go backhand then pull it back to the forehand, but not one of them tries to roof it on that move and so it always gets stopped

Barron played thst really poorly. Was way too far to the centre, giving the Bruin winger too much space.

C'mon. DeBrusk somehow jams in the puck from a tight space. Should have been stopped.

Point shot off a skate and in. Quickly 3-2 Boston.

What was that pre game thing. All those intros and that banner about breaking the jinx on April 26, 1988.
Troll the Habs night?

Entertaining twenty minutes, but man the Habs do some stupid things in their own end. Montreal's goalies have 'stolen' the most points in the league, but obviously that is not a sustainable recipe for success. Guys like Guhle and Harris are young but they need to be better. And the forwards need to be harder to play against too.

Jeje, jkr, good question. I told my son that celebration was an 'invention' of sorts since those beloved Bruins (1988-1992) never won what mattered.
It is not all that different than clubs that hang division winner and President Trophy banners.

Did you see the back of Montgomery's jacket? It reminds me of the famous 8 Ball jacket worn by David Putty on Seinfeld.

Only against Montreal can Heinen score twice.
And who was that backchecker that couldn't stop Coyle?
