When we look back (in several year's time) we may well consider the drafting of Juraj (JJ, why not) as the single most impactful event of the rebuild.

He was 1OA. Every team that has picked 1OA and the player has panned out would conclude they were the most impactful: Matthews, Crosby, Ovie, McKinnon,. No doubt there have been many duds 1OA, but when you pick first the hope expectation is that it will be watershed. So far so good with Slafs!!! Of course if we get Celebrini, then it may be a race to see who is the most impactful. A race I would thorughly enjoy watching unfold over a decade plus!!!

And i haven't ruled out Wright developing altho he sure has regressed - and seems to be a head case.

I wonder if we could pick him up cheap and let Marty do some magic on him.

The guy has never been cut from a hockey team in his life and in front of millions he's humiliated. Tough for a teenage.

For his sake, I hope he used it as motivation to prove everybody wrong and or improve himself.

Slafs is having a good tourny as is Guhle. They play each other tomorrow. Hopefully they'll show mutual respect for one another.
