It seems like Carolina's playing well again, after some stale stretches earlier in the season. That Russian goalie is finally giving them consistent play in net. I wonder if Andersen will be able to wrestle the starting job back for the playoffs.
I see Kotkaniemi is on the fourth line. That is hard to believe.

I see Kotkaniemi is on the fourth line. That is hard to believe. Bizarre that he started out the season on-fire with 13 points in 14 games. Since then he has 8 in his last 47.

Andersen looked a little rusty on that one. That was like the outer space portion of the slot. Good for Roy.

Slafkovsky was on the wrong side a couple of times in Nashville resulting in goals. Happens again.
How does Skjei just skate in from the blueline untouched?

I think a lot of us shared that look when he was picked. Now all they have to show for that pick is Christian Dvorak who is rarely on the ice anymore. Bergevin & Timmins strike again.

Jeje, funny. I have never seen that.
The lady is definitely hard core Habs fan.

1-1 is fair sort of, because I actually thought Carolina was dominating pace and possession for long stretches. They buzz as five man units and most of our boys look surprised there is never time to operate.

Carolina has always had trouble finishing. They often dominate possession and lose.

I surmise that Waddell finally got the green light from Dundon to make a big time deadline splurge (Guentzel), based on what Lebrun said during the first intermission. So their goal scoring issues could perhaps have at least a partial remedy.

Lot of zone time but no real chances on that shift

Blacked out here so catching Flames vs Lightning. 3-1 Flames and Tampa challenged a 4th goal. Lost an Flames are on a PP. Sharangovich, a 25 year old Belarussian centre has 2 goals. Tampa’s D dishing up turnovers like a baker after the apple harvest.

Don’t care if we lose. What’s important is how did the following players do?
Guhle, Xhekaj, Harris, Struble.
Slaf, Cole, Nick, Newhook, Roy.
Is someone willing to provide a brief report on our future core? Thanks!

TSN just put up another Slafkovsky comparison - pitting him against Marian Hossa as 19 years old. The numbers are practically the same.

That looked like a shot that Montembault should have held on to.

Tampa has cap space thanks to Segachev's injury, yet they have no picks (wasted them on Jeannot last year) and basically no prospects. So BriseBois probably pressing every conversation he can right now, but what can he offer.
Evans was super soft in the puck battle that led to the shot, which led to the rebound that ended up being Carolina's second goal.

True but I thought SM had it covered . Not a huge mistake but it came at a bad time. Based on the ability of the Canes to hold a 3rd period lead, it makes this game a uphill climb now,

Tampa has just landed (drum roll……long drum roll) Anthony Duclair!
That will certainly help their troubled defense.

who has the PP? C'mon
That PP yielded a breakaway and a 2 on 1 - for Carolina. Brutal

Josh scored but it was overturned? Joshua. Anderson needs to be traded so we’re not always explaining which Josh we mean (as if we needed another reason).

Newhook was flying and bumped Andersen in the blue paint.
Habs with good chances early in the third, but unfortunately the last ten minutes have been a total Hurricane monologue. It looks like a Mite v Squirt scrimmage.

Matheson on the PK is able to draw a penalty so it's 4 on 4. Less than 5 to go
