According to Elliott Friedman, the Habs are looking for a forward with some edge and a RHD top 4 defenseman
The problem, to get the top 4 dman they are likely going to have to trade Xhekaj, the only defenseman they have that plays with edge and the coach is coaching it out of him.
Now, if they are looking for a forward with edge, what does that say to Pezetta? It says his days are numbered

To get a top 4 guy they will have to give up more than Xhekaj.
Maybe I'm overthinking but I'm worried about the direction. Does management think this is some kind of gentleman's league?
These AX rumors dont make a lot of sense in light of all the press they have been getting about being too soft.

He skating backward by going towards the middle of the ice first, and that gave the Blue more ice to cut to the middle. It's those little mistakes they all keep on making

The big mistake I see is no forward covers for a defenseman when he goes on a rush, or goes behind the net in the defensive zone. |
