Mrs Dis and I got in late last night and I missed the entire game (thankfully) ... where did the game start getting away from the Habs ... what was the point of no return ... Cheers. About the time the puck was first dropped... I was struck by how quick and fast the Kraken started compared to us. The first thing that came to mind, we literally looked like we were running at 33rpm vs 78 rpm of the Kraken. Obscene level of difference how prepared Blysma team was compared on how Marty "team" was prepared. Can't blame any system when we couldn't catch or stop any of them. EDIT...I'm starting to regret getting RDS and watching this atrocities live.

So he's lost his spot on the 1st line because of injury? If I was coach, this would be my lineup tonight Caufield - Suzuki - Heineman Newhook - Dach - Slafovský Anderson - Dvorak - Gallagher Kapanen - Evans - Armia Oh and tonight is Shane Wright's first game at the Bell Centre Ok Marty. We know you are a HabsRus member, it’s ok to reveal yourself. DM me, let’s talk!

Listening to Marinaro with Lapierre and Nilan on their reactions to this game.
Stat of the night.. 8.. EIGHT players didn't record a hit. MATHESON and SAVARD, each played their usual 25 minutes and didn't take a man out once!! On a night the Habs rarely had the puck, they defended without throwing a single body check.
Anderson, Dvorak, Gallagher. Armia. An entire line.. ZERO hits. Are these guys there to score? What possible use do they have that they can't even throw a check?
Caufield, Kapanen. We know CCs job but does kapanen think he has nothing to prove? You're not.in Kansas anymore Dorothy.
I think this team is lost and obviously has a heart problem. With the exception of our top3, we got nothing. A big move HAS to happen or else the season is lost and will only get worse.
Dvorak and Anderson and Armia need to be shipped out immediately. Laval or trade for a bag of pucks I don't care, they're WORTHLESS.
MSL needs to.simplify his system tout de suite so the young guys know what to do. Max made the comment that the only guys who should be playing that system is the 2002 Red Wings. You need Hall of Fame talent for it to work.
Time for Hughes to cut bait on these guys and bring in the youngsters because there is zero leadership from the majority of vets.
Rant over
I know nothing will happen and we'll finish bottom 5. We're teaching our prospects to lose much like the Buffalo Sabres. Pipeline of top prospects for 10 years, spinning in circles

You don't want to waste assets either, so dumping Anderson, Dvorak and Armia and having to give up at least a bagful of pucks on top of that (unless you simply send them to Laval) is wasteful. Some accountability, especially with regard to simply taking a body by getting in their way, is absolutely necessary. I don't understand that reluctance or the coach's reaction to it. Perhaps moving Heineman and Kapanen to the top lines is one message to the vets. It's certainly worth a try for those guys to be on higher IQ lines. They need to be the effort leaders, though. Nothing motivates teammates more than competitive youngsters leading the way and potentially taking your spot or role away.

If you watched the final episode of the rebuild, iirc Marty says he doesn't go into the room between periods, he let's the players deal with things... if that's the case, that's a problem.
