I don't think we will do well in this game...

My #1 priority is keeping Ovechkin from scoring.

MSL experimenting with some new lines tonight. Hopefully Slaf can get that second line going, as it hasn't been producing and been a liability all season. This team will go nowhere without improvement there.
Glad to see Guhle back, as our young defenders were exposed on the right side with him out of the lineup. Even Barron's return should help in that regard.

It's obvious that X was responsible for the 8-2 loss. I know because i asked Martys mirror.
If I'm the Bruins, I'm seeing another Chara V2 developing right before my eyes. THEY have the system and the support to develop him.
But who cares, we got Super Marty'o...

Either he looks in on the site, or the random line generator finally came up in my favour

So no Xhekaj, no Pezzetta, no Mailloux. Coach St. Louis must love team softness. The Caps are a heavy, feisty team.

I think their greatest strength is their coach...maybe second greatest strength because if you show me great goaltending I'll show you a great coach. Carberry has done well with what he has, though. No one expected the Caps to make the playoffs (and with their goal differential, they were an extreme outlier) and no one expected them to be where they are now (except me, blush, because I was noticing Carberry).
In any case, unless the boys grow some large gonads, this lineup is short on physicality and has no one to offset Wilson.

Right up there in jaw dropping stupid. Maybe Hutson can drop them with Wilson. Or maybe Slaf wants to play the big tough guy and get demolished by Mclrath. This suit and tie kumbayah brigade is really getting under my skin. We went from BargainBin to corporate super duper brains.

Do I hand out candies to kids who have put in effort for Halloween or do I watch the Habs?
I think I'll hand out candies... it'll be more entertaining.

Wilson taking liberties. And St. Louis dressed a the 'no identity' fourth line. I guess he thinks the refs will protect Hutson.

Well, compared to many night in this young season, Montreal was actually not bad. However, the last 5-7 minutes of the period showed a lot of worrisome tendencies -- losing faceoffs, panic icings, inability to kill the cycle.

20 minutes of hockey.
10 minutes in our zone.
2 in their zone.
8 passing out coffee and donuts in the center.
At least it's not 4-0 so that has to be considered an accomplishment.

Their entire power play strategy is based on passing around the perimeter and try to set up Caufield
They need more players putting that puck on net

Not gonna get a 1st and 2nd back fir this loser

Washington has nothing but size and average speed. They're simply winning most of the puck battles. I'm not sure the Habs are playing with enough intensity. They have to bear down on every play because otherwise the other guy will outwork you.
I wondered about this earlier, but in any game where Wilson is playing, Arber should be dressed too. There are too many scrums where we aren't staring anyone down, but the other guys are the aggressors.
