Toronto is playing ronight against Detroit and Matthews is out for the weekend. Montreal is playing so badly lately that I highly doubt that they will take advantage of the situation.

One interesting point. The Leafs have been more defensively disciplined and are winning consistently with Matthews out of the lineup. They should have traded him a couple of years ago. They might have a cup by now.

Leafs beat Detroit 3-1. The 3rd goal was an empty netter after Seider makes a boneheaded back pass at his blue line that was intercepted by Tavares.
The wasn't much going on for either team - total shots by both teams was only 41. Pretty dull game.

The Alouettes were playing Toronto in the East Final today so I had slim hopes for a Montreal sports sweep or at least a split. The Argos ruined the sweep hopes with a 30-28 win.
I'm not very confident that the Habs can get me a split.
