Leafs are catching us on every rush. They aren't slow, they are lazy. I didn’t supply a reason but we are being outskated. That’s been a symptom all year. I keep going back to the coach because the team lacks intensity and desire. If it was one guy that’s one thing but it’s a majority of the players. |

So I would probably not read too much into the slump the poor kid finds himself in. Until Slafkovsky's injury, he was playing decent hockey on the first line. Then he got relegated. I would ask why is Dach on the first line for three weeks, producing next to nothing. |

All these issues are symptoms of a team that lacks depth. An injury or two and everything falls apart.

Time for Hughes to step up. MSL is likely trying to get Dach going.... coaches never want their GMs prized acquisitions to get minimal ice time and few opportunities with talented players. Without Laine, and with Monahan gone, MSL doesn't have many options. |

For sure, I understand that. But this is week three of the Dach on the first line experiment and now no one on the top line scores.
I would contend if management acquired Dach to play the pivot, then he needs to play every game until the end of the season at center. I know Newhook and whoever (Heineman or Roy) are not ideal wingers to see a big productivity push. But Dach needs to focus on his two-way game, which has been poor, rather than hoping to get a few cookies on the top line.
