Jerez Emelin's brittle. That wasn't that hard a fall into the boards.

Emelin injured trying to check Stone and falling into boards. Helped off ice but on his own steam. Jared ... Jared ... Jared .... Jared .....

I now see why McLean was fired as GM. Nothing like panicking when you should keep a clear head. The worst thing about the injury is that it might have been a healthy Emelin going the other way in a trade. Not likely now.

Even if it is s left/right thing again. It should be Tinordi. Ps. Pateryn hasn't looked good so far. Too slow moving the puck. So are several other guys, tho.

Loose...but entertaining game.
Gilbert misses an empty net....Sekac with a nice pass to set him up.
PP coming up.

If we get one we could get 8. But we're great at making chump change look like a million bucks.

Gryba goes after Eller's head with an elbow...Lars lucky to evade.
And no ref's arm went up....
Prust to the rescue.

Gryba should be suspended for the rest of the season for head hunting Eller again. Lars needs to go in real hard on him with an elbow or shoulder and deliver a suspend able hit on Gryba. Ottawa really are full of jerks.

Ottawa trying to hurt us.
Refs are letting way too much go.
And now they call the Habs.
Game management, my arse!

Why does Galley chuckle when he sees plays like that?
Now Subban's in big pain...blocking a shot on a PP that should never have been called.
The Sens remind me of the Bruins here.

DD has to shoot there.
Ottawa makes it 2-1. We're hurting on D.
The Sens are getting away with murder.
MT has had no answer.
He'd better find one.

If it weren't for the Habs, Pageau would still be in the minors. He feasts on us. That whole sequence was us losing small battles for the puck. When we play Ottawa, we should just dress goons cause that's what they do.

When we play Ottawa, we should just dress goons cause that's what they do. We don't have goons or goon-like players. Prust is the closest we have. Our first round opponent would be wise to spend Game 1 running us at every opportunity....as did the Rangers last year. I saw the replay of Gryba on Eller, the sequel. Eller moved his head just as Gryba's elbow made contact. Otherwise, it would've been stretcher time. I'll bet the NHL doesn't even look at it.

Just got in ... SOG in the 2nd 17-15 Montreal ... that might be the first thing that's wrong ... how do the Senators get 15 shots against a defensive team like the Habs ...
Cheers.

Give teams with marginal skill a bully and you'll see what they get away with. I almost want to say screw the score, let others know it's not open season on our players.

Most of the season Prust has had to handle this crap himself. Other than Wiese occasionally, no one else fights on this club. While the referees are busy handing out chintzy hooking calls they miss deliberate head shots.
