That's two I'm thinking off. The other has a royal name, was part of a trade we actually 'won' handily, and then became something of a one trick pony before being traded himself. If you are thinking of the Polish Prince ... I dont think Czerkawski was Jewish. I can only find info on 2 Jewish hockey players that have played for the Habs ... but thats not to say I am right either. I have some sites that list Malkin as Jewish and others that say Cammalleri is the best Jewish hockey player ever and dont list Malkin at all .... Not Czerkawski. Mariusz was out of tricks after his first training camp with us. The player I'm thinking of came to us with another player and a pick. We traded away someone who was a shadow of his former self and spent much if his tenure in Montreal hurt. Along with him we traded someone we got for the "wrecking ball" and a pick.

I can't give a source, but I strongly recall his faith being a topic of discussion somewhere at some point. I'm pretty sure it was during his tenure in Montreal, but may have come up during his time in Florida when he got "Malarchuk"ed.

He's from Riga. And a former Habs. C'est qui? Raitis Ivanans. And he's not doing all that great for a guy who's been in the league for 5 years [4 full seasons, so far]: 12-6-18, -35. One thing he does seem to excel at is PIM: 508 career. Trivia question:Now, because we all know how bad at math I am, so I might be off by a game or two (or 3-4)... Who scored their first goal in game 123 of their career?

Not a trivia question, but any idea when Gregory Stewart's coming back? I miss him... He has been largely ineffective in his role of late. I don't see him back anytime soon unless Boucher is able to kick start his game again. Hope he can get it back together, because Conboy and Neilson are making their case in Hamilton in that energy/bruiser type role. Stewie now has company and competition.

Doesn't Robinson have his name on the Cup as head coach of the Devils, too? He might, but like I said, I didn't do too much research (I was looking for Jacques Lemaire and I'm pretty sure my brother got that answer too ) [Turns out you're right, he did, 1999-2000] Trivia question:Back in the day, PIM did not exist. Instead, players were fined for on-ice silliness [my wording, not the NHL's]. Who was fined $5 in his rookie year?

You really went off the map to find .... Louis BerlinquetteMy brother, you are indeed correct ~The most points Louis ever accumulated in 12 seasons with the Habs was 20 in 1920-21. Not bad considering that a season back then was 24 games ~He played for us from 1911-12 to 1922-23. ~He finished his NHL career 3 years later with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Trivia question:In what year did our goaltender record six shutouts [more than Halak's career shutouts, oh my!]? And what was his name?

So, you're asking for the name of a goalie that played for Montreal and had 6 SOs in a season, and what year that was?
Hmmm, record for shutouts in a season and career belongs to Georges Hainsworth (22 and 75 respectively).

Six of those were shutouts... now that's not too shabby at all, at all. ~Wilf was named to the Second All-Star Team that year. ~The honor came his way a second time the next year, when the Habs went from worst to first in their division *** Trivia question:Who was named rookie of the year for 2004-05?

Not a trick question... I didn't say NHL rookie of the year Benoit Pouliot - Sudbury Wolves (I have family in Sudbury) And Sid the Kid won the QMJHL and CHL rookie of the year award beating out Benny P. Mike Cammalleri led the AHL in goal scoring that year and was second to Spezza in total points....just to get Val going. The AHL moved to Rexall Place in E-town for one season, and I saw Pleky and the Dogs kick off the season in back to back games against their old teammates. I think Bambi was 5'9" that year too.

Benoit Pouliot - Sudbury Wolves (I have family in Sudbury) And Sid the Kid won the QMJHL and CHL rookie of the year award beating out Benny P. I'm wearing a Sid the Kid hoodie today, goes well with my Habs watch Mike Cammalleri led the AHL in goal scoring that year and was second to Spezza in total points....just to get Val going. ...sigh... The AHL moved to Rexall Place in E-town for one season, and I saw Pleky and the Dogs kick off the season in back to back games against their old teammates. And to think I never, ever saw any live hockey games when I was in Red Deer I think Bambi was 5'9" that year too. And you're funny too Aren't you on my list of bad boys? Yes, I do believe that you are Canadian Major Junior Defenseman of the Year (2001) Marc-André Bergeron ;D Shawinigan Cataractes-QMJHL GP 69 (42-59-101) my baby
