Speaking of number trivia .... There are 11 numbers never worn by a Hab. Nine of those numbers are easily determined above ... what are the other two? What are the two most worn numbers in Habs history? (one number was worn 72 times, the other was worn 70 times ... both numbers are currently NOT in use) The other 2 numbers not worn were 43 and 50. Since our sources don't match, I'm taking a stab at most worn: 8 and 12. I'm probably wrong And since my source searches by last number worn, I officially give up, unless someone else knows the answer and wants to post it... 11 was worn the most .... 72 times 8 was worn 70 times 43 was worn by Benoit Brunet, Andrew Cassels, and Patrice Brisebois (I believe someone else wore it recently ....?) The other two numbers are 50 and 58

I think our sources need to have a chat with each other while they're at it, since they are both purported to be "official" and all... #58 David Desharnais and I think we both forgot #76 PK Subban *** Trivia question:Who, rather than lose the scoring title, refused surgery and instead wore a cast from his palm to his elbow? Which is why I wanted to go through it more carefully but didnt have the time .... I should have taken the time to do it properly. I think it is crazy that the lowest number never used on the Habs is 50.

Yeah, I knew there were a few call ups I'd be missing since it is the 2006 media guide. Which is why I wanted to go through it more carefully but didn't have the time .... I should have taken the time to do it properly. Between the two of us, we did a pretty good job... and I've learned to always doubt my source, no matter how "official" it is Trivia question:Who, rather than lose the scoring title, refused surgery and instead wore a cast from his palm to his elbow? BTW, he did win the scoring race that season. Hints:~I think it may have been a team scoring title ~it wasn't *cough* Dominic Moore *cough* Answer:1957-58 season -- Dickie Moore, 84 pts (4 better than Henri Richard), led the league in goals (32) and game-winners (8) He broke a small bone between his left wrist and hand. Played from early February through to the Stanley Cup win with a cast (minus the first 2-3 weeks of February when he was unaware it was actually a broken bone.) He had an NHL-record 96 pts the next season. *** Trivia question:Who was the first Canadien to register 500 assists?

Trivia question:Who, although he wasn't a coach, pulled a Jim Playfair type hissy fit in mid-March 1988? Answer:Claude Lemieux. From The Montreal Canadiens 100 Years of Glory: Lemieux was upset with his ice time [snip]. Lemieux returned to the dressing room two minutes before [the] start of the third and kicked an ashtray on his way. Perron followed and, in a loud, angry voice, told him: "Get undressed. You're not going back on the ice." Lemieux erupted. He smashed one stick over his knee and then several others, all the while hurling obscenities at Perron.Although Savard suspended Lemieux indefinitely, he was back after one missed game, and his teammates gave him a standing ovation when he returned to the dressing room. Boys! Who is the best player drafted by Montreal, wore #45 and never scored a goal for the Habs? Too easy?? Corey Locke, 2007-08, played 1 game. He has also played one game this season for the NYR. *** Last question from The Montreal Canadiens 100 Years of Glory, because I finished it this morning on the bus. Not sure if it's the subject matter or because D'Arcy Jenish writes intelligently, but for those of you who haven't read the book yet, DO SO, it was a very good [and quick] read. Trivia question:Who once played with 2 separated shoulders [without mentioning it to anyone at the time]? He was also a former coach.

Greatest goal differential too ... +216!!!
