There's a risk here, as is known by any fans of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time Series. Jordan wrote 11 books and then died. The last book turned into 3 books, written by Brandon Sanderson on behalf of the family, who knew a cash cow when they saw one. Two of the last 3 books were fine, but the last one was a substantial disappointment. Can't help wondering if Jordan would have changed something or handled it differently.
So, look out, Mr. Martin. And don't pass up any medical checkups.

The Wheel of Time Trilogy that turned into seven books (some of them the same book from a different person's perspective . . . wow, imaginative )that turned into the cash cow (or kept the cash cow going). I quit reading WoT, and Martin has just about lost me by not writing and I may not read the rest, if he ever finishes (not that he cares, laughing all the way to the bank).

I don't know what Costco is going for (not a member) but I got mine at Chapter for $60 (5 books). ouch! hardcover? the leather edition? bought as a gift for under $40! (I know, you didn't want to hear that) No.....No I didn't It was an impulse purchase. I was in Ontario at the time and since the local book stores where I live doesn't have English books, I make it a habit of stopping in. Oh well, I haven't been shelling out any money to see the shows so it evens out.

Chapters on-line prices are better than in-store . . . and free shipping. actually do as much on-line shopping as possible . . . hate crowds. except at Habs home games!

It was Chapters. Yeah it was cheaper online, but sometimes it is nice to physically hold something and see it up front when buying making a purchase. Plus it is always good to support the establishments. Think of it this way: Would you rather only have the option to go online and look at girls or go to Chez Parée? Sometimes it is worth the time and effort to get and up close look!

true. however . . . go to Chapters for one book, get distracted, start browsing the sales, shake your head at how much you spent. go to Chez Parée for one look (I imagine ), keep looking, shake you head at how much you spent. though at least with Chapters, you can justify the money spent to the Mrs.

Kit Harrington was seen arriving in Belfast today!! Looks like he isn't killed off yet. The only thing I can surmise is that we saw nothing of Bran, Hodor, and the lot, this season. He's got some special powers we haven't seen yet. Maybe they save Snow. Otherwise, I think he's either toast or a soon-to-be white walker.

Maybe he ends up a white walker who converts the white walkers to the good guys' side and leads them to King's Landing to wipe out the Lannisters. Here's an update on a couple of new cast members.
