If there is any credibility to the tweets that Montreal and Pittsburgh are the heaviest in pursuit of Sharp, at least a certain GM has identified additional scoring as something he is looking to address this summer. The one thing is though that the Berg does not have a history of chasing and overpaying. He is one year off from a 78 point season but man that $5.9 million dollar contract looks real big when you have only $5 million in cap space with a significant RFA still to sign.. Doesn't pass the smell test IMO That and CHI is trying to dump salary, just like the Berg would have to do to take on that cap hit. CHI will not want to take a lot of salary back, and are likely trying to get a first rounder for Sharp.

La Presse has Bergevin chatting up several UFAs, so it seems likely he has a few moves lined up to free salary.
I have to assume Gilbert, Emelin and Parenteau are all essentially expendable if someone else could be better use of that cap space.
Can't say I'd be expecting much in return though.

But it seems I like a lot more then most apparently.... Gilbert 4th or 5th rounder and Parenteau for another bad contract... Maybe my valuation is alittle to optimistic lol

According to Bobby Mac, Calgary is going hard after Dougie Hamilton.
I sure don't want Boston getting better today.

Supposedly Kris Versteeg nixed a deal to the Habs. Now denial from Versteeg. No request for him re any trade.

ESPN reporting that there's a fair sized gap in talks between Jets and Buff. Teams are kicking tires.

That would be an epic move. You'd have to think Galchenyuk would be involved if it happened. Lebrun reported earlier that Berg was chatting with Bowman.

In a habs dreamland Pleky, gilbert/emelin, tinordi/pateryn and our 26th for their 3rd. Hell id throw in dd as well for that 3rd. They have good young kids and they need a stop gap until they're ready.

I'm just not sure we have the horses to make the best pitch. Would I be trying? Hell yes.

I know they're tight financially as well so not sure if they can afford to pick up guys with 5 or 6 mil salaries. They want guys on bridge type deals. Good players with a low price tag. .. but everyone wants that.

Zadorov,Grigorenko, and 31st pick for ROR. Buff and Colorado talking. Grigorenko's a bust IMO, but Zadorov will be good and 31st pick is decent as well. You're getting a real contract headache though, and who knows if he hasn't his his upside potential.

Why is Tim Murray looking so serious?. It's like he's going out of his way to look like an adult.
