I can't look at a photo of Bill Clinton without thinking of Monica Lewinski, and you know ... other stuff ... maybe someone can tell me what motivated Kenneth Starr into revealing what he did about Clinton ... maybe it was a Repulican/Democrat thing ... dunno ... whenever I see a photo of JFK, I think of cigars (the old Upmann Petits) and his assassination ... it's too much of a coincidence that both JFK and Norma Jeane Mortenson (Marilyn Monroe) were eliminated ... I read a book that suggested the mafia took care of Monroe, while other sources claim they did it at the behest of Bobby Kennedy ... then JFK was killed because Bobby turned on his mafia connections ... I also read a theory that the illuminati took him out because he a. wanted to get out of Vietnam and, b. he wanted stronger control of the US Federal Reserve ...

"It is said to be a deterrent. I cannot agree....I do not now believe that any one of the hundreds of executions I carried out has in any way acted as a deterrent against future murder. Capital punishment, in my view, achieved nothing except revenge." - British hangman, Albert Pierrepoint

The 1994 Montreal Expos ... The season was stopped due to the 1994 players' strike. The World Series, for which the Expos appeared to be destined, was never played and Montreal lost many of its players during the next season due to free agency and salary constraints and the team never recovered. The 1994 Montreal Expos team that could have been remains one of baseball's hot discussion points. The collapse of the Expos would eventually lead to the franchise's move to Washington, D.C., for the 2005 season to become the Washington Nationals.(Wiki) Link

Cheers.

The original Mamas and the Papas ... from the left, Michelle Phillips, Cass Elliot, Denny Doherty and John Phillips
funny story about the Mamas and the Papas: they were broke when they began, they were broke when they recorded, and they were broke when they broke up. John Phillips said that everyone thought that they were living the high life, but they couldn't figure out why they never had any money, because they were so popular. Turns out they only did about a dozen concerts when they were together, and that's where the money is -- they didn't see anything from their album sales. ** from an interview with him I heard a number of years back . . . if my memory serves correctly.

Just going with that, I guess Michelle Phillips was probably the most successful of post-Mamas and Papas ... Ellen Naomi Cohen, A.K.A. Cass Elliot, left far too soon, but she was doing well as a solo act before she passed ... she's buried in Mount Sinai Memorial Park in LA ... heading out that way in October, so I might try to visit the site ... Denny Doherty was born in Halifax ... he eventually tried television but it never worked out for him ... he was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1996 ... John Phillips had a rough go of it after, but he did sire five children ... Laura Mackenzie Phillips (One Day at a Time) and Chynna Gilliam Phillips (band Wilson Phillips) are the two notables ... (had to do the Wiki thing on this ... kind of interesting finding out what happened to all of them) Cheers.

(had to do the Wiki thing on this ... kind of interesting finding out what happened to all of them) Cass loved Denny. Denny didn't love Cass. Denny had a brief affair with Michelle. John kicked Michelle out of the group for a bit, as a result. According to John's daughter, Mackenzie: John raped her when she was 18….passed-out no less…and they would continue a "consensual" sexual relationship for 10 years.

I remember hearing about Mackenzie Phillips ordeal a few years ago ... she wrote a book which included some of the problems she had growing up ... her dad, John Phillips, raised her under the impression that the normal rules didn't apply to she and her family because they were Phillips ... I don't know the whole story, but I read on Wiki that she fought substance abuse (cocaine and heroin) ... her dad battled the same demons and was convicted of drug trafficking in 1981 ... Cheers.
