Williams gets it done....again.
Caps up 3-2. But the Leafs remain scary.
And HNIC is a morgue.
Nylander, Hyman, Matthews, Rielly, and Hunwick on the ice.
Pretty much their A-5.
Glad they lost this one.
Kadri will get his. Only Cherry could think that hit was legal.

Final minutes of the 3rd. Bruins killoff a puck over glass penalty and now take a too many men with 2 minutes to go.

Williams has to be the most clutch player in the playoffs. Man. 35 years old. Doesn't matter. He just continues to score big goals. He's a UFA this summer.

The guy is just a punk. People just seem to conveniently forget that stuff.

Reminds a bit of the Avs. They had 3 very high picks (Landeskog, McKinnon, Duchene). In Roy's 1st season (2013/14) they had 112 points. 3 years later they are the worse team in the league. Maybe something similar can happen. Fingers crossed.

Didn't Bergevin try a couple of seasons ago and strike Out? If they did, I forgot or didn't know. Whoever gets him this summer will get a clutch player. He's still good for more than 20g and near on 50 points a season. Still skates well. Plays the wall well and knows how to get to the middle of the ice to score. If negotiations with Radulov don't go well, I wouldn't have much of an issue pivoting to Justin. His current deal was 2 years and $3.5 million aav. 3 Cups, consistent performance, leadership, experience, etc.

Bruins celebrating....
But the ref didn't make a goal signal.
The puck was definitely in....but they might call a Bruin for hitting Anderson on the way through after the initial shot.
And they didn't call goalie interference at the time. At least I didn't see a ref make that call at the time. Maybe it was the back ref.

I think it should be a goal, as Anderson was already on his back when contact was made. That Bruin did not impede Anderson on the rebound.

Bruins rookie with the OT winner. Puck bounces off Karlsson's skate right to Kuraly.

I wanted to respond on twitter, but with a 140 char limit, there's just no way. 1. Kadri blatantly targeted the knee. It wasn't a submarine hit. He was low all the way, leading with head and his own knee. That's a clip. When you go low, head first, you're clipping. 2. The Tucker hit is a submarine. Like Marchand vs the Canucks, a submarine hit is deliberately going low at the very last minute. You fool the opponent into thinking you're going to check level, then drop at the last moment. Tucker actually drive his behind directly into Peca's left leg. 3. Emelin, and those that hip check legally, lead with their backside. They go in backwards for the hit the whole way. No last minute turn. No last minute drop. They skate backwards into the hit. It requires the ability to skate backwards at speed with a great sense of timing. Very rarely do they come in contact with the knee. Typically, their hip/backside goes directly into the hip/waist of their check. Yes, they're all dangerous. They can all lead to injury. The CBC panel discussed it at length in the second intermission. Kypreos thinks any hit below the waste should be banned. He's biased in that, because he blew out a knee receiving low hit. I can appreciate that. We've bred a generation of players that don't know how, or don't care, to hit clean above the waist. Still, I don't like penalizing players who have a skill others don't by making that skill illegal. Kadri should have been assessed a major for clipping. Simple as that. I'm not saying it wasn't dirty, I'm not saying it wasn't a penalty, but according to Rule 44, it wasn't clipping. Clipping is when you throw any part of your body at or below the knees. Kadri got him above the knee. He got a tripping penalty, which is what it was, but due to the violent intent, I think they should have given him an intent to injure penalty as well

Kadri was an intent to injure low ball. Then the flaky dive crapola. Leafs should be ashamed. Big time.

Smashville with an empty netter. 4-1 with under two left. Ciao Chitown. ...Teows tweeted last summer that he was happy Weber changed conference. Still happy Jo? Or is it that you wanted to work on your golf game sooner?
