Foote rated 37 on the NHL combined list. www.nhl.com/ice/draftprospectbrowse.htmThere's gonna be some 'first round guys' potentially around come the second that we might only have to give up one of our seconds (with a third) to get if a specific target is there. We are in a huge tier of kids now. Lots of options can happen between now and mid second for sure.

Finishing up the round with a serious run on Canadian boys.

Finishing up the round with a serious run on Canadian boys. Indeed. Kaliev and Brink have dropped a fair bit, as the top US guys from outside the NDTP team.

Kaliev and Lavoie may not end up first rounders.
I would not trade our two seconds though for either right now.

I wish tv hosts would look to see who Dubas might be talking to on the phone (it's likely someone in the room...)rather than just talking on... Anything the Leafs do gets magnified but they didn't even mention it. Surprising.

Beecher is a reach at this point. Power forward. Like him. Buried on that team.

Kaliev and Lavoie may not end up first rounders. I would not trade our two seconds though for either right now. I always wonder if GMs value that 1st rounders can always get you a compensatory 2nd round pick if he's a complete flop. 31st pick is better than 32nd because of that...

If Lavoie is there tomorrow, I believe Ottawa takes him. They need high ceiling type for scoring deficit they face.

We should keep our two seconds now. But I would move up with the rest of the picks.
I will dig deeper, but there are nice names that should be around with our two seconds tomorrow.

Bolduc, LaCombe and Ahac have been rising. In the event that Timmins likes one of them I suppose the Habs have no choice but to use one of the second rounders because I doubt any of them lasts until #77.
Likewise, there are some Russians with potential good value available tomorrow.

Likewise, there are some Russians with potential good value available tomorrow. There are lots of good D and nice Russian forwards left. I really think we will get some nice value at 46 and 50 now. An OHL 50 goal scorer and a guy who scored almost a goal per game in the Q playoffs should kick off the second round fairly early. Brink too. All have some warts, but are good value now with early seconds. We have to get through 14 picks now and we are on the mike. Tomorrow should be a blast.

It's a good thing they didn't draft Jack Hughes. Gagliardi would probably have called him Hugh Jackman.

I like to see us move up and pick Lavoie. He will be gone by the 32-35 pick.

We have 14 picks to get through until we are up next. Just looking at two lists (Bobby Mac’s and ISS), here are 11 guys both think will be gone before we pick.
I expect the next four guys should be some combo of
Lavoie Kaliev M Robertson Brink
And the others:
Rees Leason Afanasyev Kolyachonok Korczak N Robertson LaCombe
Then you suddenly have a bunch from which to pick twice, and even better if some fall from the earlier list:
Hoglander Vlasic (no thanks at this point) Pinto Firstov Grewe Nikolaev Misyul Mastrosimone Farinacci Dorofeyev Knyazev

Pssst. It’s Kniazev in case you’re trying to look him up on hockeydb.com And Knyazev on Elite Prospects (and they also show the alternative spelling of Kniazev). www.eliteprospects.com/player/398450/artemi-knyazevAnd Kniazev on Chicoutimi’s team page. I will just stick with that LHD from Kazan, Russia playing in the Q!

Same with the Russian goalie.
