That was just a sick move by Barzal.

Eberle is really shifty with great spatial awareness and his hands are silky, but good grief does he miss a lot of grade A chances. I guess that is why he is making $5.5 per because if he was a special finisher he would be making $7 million per.

I thought Eberle had a game to forget last night. He had at least 2 grade A chances to win it last night & completely missed the net on both. On top of that, with 2 minutes to go in the first OT he puts the puck over the glass. Thankfully for him, the Flyers PP was still awful last night.
I think it is game 1 from the Caps series since his last goal.
The Isles had 53 shots & should have won in regulation. I think Trots goes with Griess tomorrow.

yup. Markstrom may have some thinking to do about how much he can demand from the Nucks. then again, I remember the Hamburgler.

What is it - 90 saves on 91 shots now? Yeah. Who do you start in game 7 if Markstrom is good to go? Hard to imagine not keeping with the hot hand, but keep the leash short.

yup. Markstrom may have some thinking to do about how much he can demand from the Nucks. then again, I remember the Hamburgler. Quite different situations, though. Demko was a high 2nd round pick and well regarded. He has developed the way a lot of hockey people like. Notice the wording? I'm not saying it's right, but we was brought along slowly and given lots of time to improve at Boston College, then Utica and then in Vancouver. The Hamburgler was a fluke. No idea what Demko's ceiling is, but he is a quality goaltender. I only saw highlghts of the last 2 games but he seemed positionally sound most of the time. Vegas didn't pick a lot of corners. Kind of like us, huh? Tons of possession and shots and not much production.

Colorado & Dallas late in 3rd period tied at 3-3. Radulov with 2 goals.
Didn't know this was on. Must have started at 4 eastern.
Namestnikov scores with 3:40 left but Stars tie it just 10 seconds later. 4-4 with just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd.
Cole hits the post with a minute left & Hutchison robs Pavelski in the blue paint right at the buzzer.
For the 2nd year in a row Dallas goes to OT in a game 7.
Stars win in OT

Sekera's given Gretzky time and space behind the net. Kadri was puck-watching and didn't see Kiviranta slip back into the slot.
Didn't see any other goals.

Damn. I'm 1 for 3 so far. No consolation that my 2 losses went to 7 games. Avs/Stars. Avs in 6. I was tempted to say 5, but Dallas has some players....just not enough to handle the speed of Colorado
Avs goaltending got schmucked. Then their captain can't play in the final game. I wuz robbed.
Canucks - Knights. Going against the grain here and the fact I'm not sold on Lehner. Canucks in 6 (no 7 games series at all in the first round!).
This was definitely a pick from the heart and not the head. But I am right abut Lehner. Fleury will have to play in the WCF if they're to move on. How bout them Nucks, hey?
Isles/Flyers. Isles in 6. Not impressed with the Flyers, but Hart was playing well. Isles too disciplined and have a couple of guys who can actually score.
Who knows. Flyers win 3 OT games. Think they're the 93 Habs. Off with their heads!
Lightning/Bruins. Tampa in 6. Bruins depth on the bottom 2 lines is going to be tested. That 3rd line of Cirelli, Coleman and Goodrow will be a headache for Boston.
Ok I got the number of games wrong. It took fewer. But that line did give the Bruins fits and did I mention I loved seeing Chara and Marchand suffer?
As a final note (or is that a semi-final note?)....once again there are no Canadian teams in the final 4. I rest by my assertion that there is a continuous conspiracy in place to screw Canada. If a bus were to accidentally plow into Jeremy Jacobs, I wonder if that obstacle would go away?

It all boils down to that elusive national tv contract buttman has been dreaming about... its nuttman who has to go and as long as tightwad Jacob's is the head of the board of governors and canadian team owners dont raise a stink... things will remain the same...

What happened to Vancouver's offense? They had just 13 shots yesterday & forced Lehner into one great save ( on Boeser) in the second. And they were shut out 3 times in this series.

Vancouver didn't have the puck enough all series. though when they did have the puck they took advantage (except for last night). outshot a thousand to nine in the previous 2 games they were lucky the goalies were Demko and Lehner (who I'm still not sold on).

The very first thing that needs to be changed is the CAP formula. It currently gives a few US teams huge advantages, especially those in the south where Bettman wants to grow the game. These are guys who get off on NASCAR bumper cars and guns. Change the CAP to after tax and watch the Canadian teams rise. A little. Management is still the key factor.

I think they were just gassed. Tough series vs Minny, and then the Blues. They were worn down and probably had more injuries than the Knights. Vegas had that relaxed seeding thing and then the Hawks, who are a skating team with weak defensive play. Nothing that would wear you down. It's unfortunate in another way that the Canucks didn't progress. The current owner of the Canucks, Aquilini, and the current owner of the Stars, Gagliardi, are arch enemies. Their obsession with beating the other may have added some real spice to that series. So it's Vegas and Dallas. I have no trust at all in Lehner. I really didn't like that public stare down of Theodore in Game 6. As if Theodore is your worst dman. . Frankly, I dislike both teams, so am struggling. Same thing in the East. Don't like Tampa, don't like Lamoriello, don't like Philly. Sigh. Maybe there will be a huge outbreak and the whole thing will be cancelled. Fingers crossed. (At the cancellation, not the outbreak).

After the stories that surfaced about Babcock around the league, I'm surprised any team would consider him for a head coaching job. Hire Gallant. And let the Leafs keep paying him to not coach.

Must be nice to be Tampa fan right now. Bolts with a stacked team, could be on cuff of a dynasty. Ray's are running away with East, 28-13. Bucks with Tom Brady going to be interesting this fall.
I wish my teams were that successful. Habs, Jay's and Vikings been struggling for decades.

I didn't watch last night but have LV forgotten how to score? They lose 1-0 to Khudobin? Actually that was predictable. Dallas just came off a series against a high flying team where they were forced to play at a very high pace. While the Canucks are a fun team with a good future, the do not play at the same tempo as the Avs. I'm still confident the Knights will win. It takes a game to find your pace when the opposition is playing faster. Dallas got that early goal and worked like crazy. They were outshot badly in the 3rd and I expect that to continue throughout the rest of the series. They have an underrated defense, for sure. Heiskanen is obvious. Lindell is very good. Klingberg is an excellent offensive guy and Oleksiak has improved hugely. He may be the fastest skating big defenseman I've seen. Can he ever motor! I'd like to see him race Heiskanen.

Tampa’s offence feeling no jet lag from moving out to Edmonton. 8-2 sends quite the message to start the series.

Instead of going 8 million under cap every year. This year makes 28 years since we had chance at cup.
