Oh boy? My beer league buddies would have my head if I didn't close in on my charge and take away his space, but PA has an "oh boy"? How about "I'm going to f*** you up"? Poor goaltending on top. I bet the house every time someone came down the wing on Robinson, his first thoughts were exactly that.

I think the headline is misleading & she is not being understood. She said Matthews has passed McDavid in terms of having a more complete game; ie: taking more defensive responsibility. She's very complimentary of McDavid IMO.

Caught the tail end if the laffs flames games, rittich has the puck up against his pads, leafs bang away at it, ref is behind the net, puck gets pushed in and it's a good goal... what happened to the ref calling the play when they lose sight if the puck?
Flames got screwed.

Flames coach considered challenging but no doubt realized it would be a futile protest

If he loses, the goal counts & they are shorthanded. I guess we should have realized that the Toronto office was not going to let the Leafs suffer two straight shutout losses.

Guys, I know it is hard to see it this way, but it is probably a good thing the Flames did not pocket two points.

Friend, jeje, at this stage it would not shock me if the Habs implode and finish last in the division.

After playing well in Toronto, Rittich is lousy in Ottawa. He's pulled after allowing 4 goals - the 4th coming from centre ice. Sens win 6-1.

Watched some highlight packages this morning & saw that NY is now allowing fans at Ranger games. That's 4 teams that I know off - Dallas, Arizona & Florida are the others I have seen. Rangers beat the Bruins 6-2.
Checked up on Lafreniere. He's played 18 games. Just 3 points and is a -7 while averaging 14.5 minutes per game. After all the hype I was expecting more.

What will poor CBC and sportsnet do tonight during the Laafs game... Matthew's is out, who will they pan to at every stoppage in play? ?

Textbook road game for the Leafs.
No Matthews. Up 4-0 with about 5 to go.
In-game adjustments limited the Oils' quality chances in the last 40 minutes.
Fending off the main challengers.

I know the Habs goal scoring has dried up after the first ten games of the season. But I watching Buffalo-Philadelphia and the Sabres are just so lousy. Two 3-0 shutouts for the Flyers in a row and it is almost seemed like Philly just felt sorry for them and stopped trying to score.
Krueger definitely suckered the Pegulas with all his new-age visionary catch phrases. Eichel is lifeless. I know the NHL is not the NBA so a guy isn't going to the media but Eichel will probably behind closed doors force his way out.

I don't watch sports highlight shows that often. I'm primarily interested in hockey so I take in the highlight packages on YouTube. I always make it a point to watch Chicago games to see what Kane & DeBrincat are doing.
They thumped Detroit 7-2 yesterday. Kane scored his 400th goal & had 3 points. And with all the talk about McDavid & Matthews, he is now tied for 2nd in scoring. He's closing in on 1000 games. Hard to believe he's only 32.

Just flipping through channels and came across the flames v Sens and gudbranson cross checks a flame to the ice, the ref stands there and does nothing... but if gudbranson touched him in the hand then it would have been a penalty... I think it's time for our D to start laying the lumber again..

Leafs score on their first 2 shots on Koskinen and shutout the Oilers again, 3-0. No Matthews or Andersen for either game. The Oilers should be embarrassed that they were shut out by Campbell & Hutchison on back to back nights. And Ken Holland should be embarrassed that like Chiarelli, he still has not found a solution to their goaltending issues. The best years of McDavid & Draisaitl are being wasted by minor league or over the hill goalies.

The nhl suspends an Chiasson for a cross check to the head of a vesey as the game ends, but a hit from behind into the boards is ok... I dont get the dopes...

Frickin Oilers get smoked again. At least take one against the Leafs. The only blessing was Nuge spoiling the shutout so we did not have to hear about history being made with three different goalies in three consecutive games getting a shutout. I swear that Sportsnet were drooling about talking that up for months had it happened.
Our local watering hole (we took you there Dis!) has a promo where you get $10 off your bill if your chosen Oiler player (picked at random for each table) scores a goal. We had Nuge tonight, but left before he scored.

What was the cumulative score over the 3 games - 13-1?
How does a team with 2 Art Ross winners manage to epically fail time and again? Holland and Tippett have to take a good look in the mirror a long with Draisaitl & McDavid.

What a cluster F the Oil are... what a waste of a generational talent
As for the leafs, I love the fact this is happening, overconfidence will be their downfall in the playoffs

If we want to reunite the Geuhle brothers, now would be the time. Anaheim placed him on waivers. He was a former 2nd round pick. Have no idea if he is better than Mete or Kulak.

Yeah, consensus is he might get claimed. Juulsen got claimed after missing most of two years. I know there was the Churla connection, but...

I doubt Bergevin bites. He would have to place one of his guys on waivers to make a roster spot.
Just like Bergevin, Treveling is likely gone if Calgary misses the playoffs so he is playing his last card firing Ward and hiring Darryl Sutter. The Canadian division is turning into pressure cooker.
