A lot of credit goes to the players for doing the things needed to improve their game, but we cannot underestimate the value of Adam Nicholas and the expanded development team and the individual development plans that they have created and follow up on with each player. In almost all interviews with prospects that I have heard or read this year, they make some mention of it. Funny how giving young players better tools and support can lead to player development. And MB, a former player couldn't understand that... what a bozo Berg was a self made man, right? 20 years or so career. Why couldn't everyone else do that? Well, they could, if they were happy being a 3rd pairing dman or 4th line forward.

Nuturally, as soon as I say that, Beck scores on a nice slot wrist shot.

And on Sunday:
Kidney 2a Mešár 1a Guindon 1g GWG
Mešár and the Rangers were playing their third in three nights, and gutted out the win 5-2 over London for their second game against Mailloux and the Knights this week. Mešár made a great play along the boards, eventually breaking free due to good edgework to start the play on the first goal. They don’t give out third assists! Mailloux was decent in the loss. He has been playing a bit more of a safer game in the last few I have seen. Short first passes or stretch passes rather than end to end rushes trying to go through the whole team. His D coverage is getting a bit tighter too. He still does like to jump into the play in the offensive zone, in a good way and he is big, mobile and has a booming shot.

How about some Euro goals, you say?
Heineman shows off his speed as he goes end to end to open the scoring in what was a 3-2 win for Leksand.
Kapanen gets one today in a big 6-3 KalPa win. Goes hard to the net and pounces on the rebound.

The Habs two prospects at BU are on a roll these days. Tuch has scored in three straight and in four of his last five games, and has points in five of his last six games. He needs to show some offensive consistency, so this is a very good sign.
Hutson added two assists last night and his amazing freshman season just keeps rolling.
Pitlick had an assist as did Farrell, on the GWG. Farrell to Thrun to Coronato for the OT win.

Mešár with the beauty GWG, five shots and first star in a very solid outing for him. He was due (likely overdue).

A couple of big nights in the other two CHL leagues too. Davidson continues his nice season with his 24th and 25th goals of the season and added an assist in a 7-2 Seattle win.
Kidney has been on a heater since joining the Olympiques at the trade deadline. He added two goals, two assists, and a second star in an 11-6 Gatineau win over Val D’Or in a great goalie battle.

Three CHL guys in action on Sunday. They all contributed points.
Beck plays for Peterborough at 2:00pm after being n Ottawa with the Habs the night before. He had the primary assist in this one, but five unanswered to finish the game by Hamilton esulted in a 7-4 loss for the Petes.
Roy added two assists in a big Sherbrooke 7-0 win. Hear the Rohrer as he opened the scoring for Ottawa as he is now back from that scary injury where he was flipped and landed n his head. Nice one timer shot from him and on the goal.

Another head to head between Heineman and Engström. Advantage Heineman who had the GWG in a 4-2 win, with Engström getting an assist in the loss. Player development director Rob Ramage was in attendance checking out the two prospects.

Nice tic tac toe play here as Roy got one of his two assists last night n a 4-3 OT loss.
Beck added an assist in Peterborough’s 5-3 win. It looks like Beck has settled into a secondary 2C role with the Petes as they have loaded up their top line with their three top offensive guys right now.
