I argue there is always more to a prospect’s game than just his stats, but these are good showings all around. And Roy is not far behind Kidney in the Q as well.
If folks want to see Farrell on tv (and one should as he is having a great season), Harvard is on TSN2 tonight (Friday) at 7:00pm ET.

Here are the three star performances from Friday night.
The first star was Hutson’s four assist night in a 5-3 BU win. The freshman is now fifth overall in ppg for all NCAA players which is bonkers (Fantilli is first and Farrell is second by the way). He now has 35 points in 25 games.
The second star was Logan Mailloux with a goal and assist in a 5-1 London victory.
And a forward gets the third star and it goes to Rohrer who nets the OT winner for the Ottawa 67s.

Is that an Ove'chicken wrister?
In a year or two, the left side on a PP will be a biatch for goaltenders. If it isn't CC, it's going to be Mailloux.
So does Guhle take the right and fire from his off side?

Patrik had lots of highlights from Europe as several prospects hit the scoreboard yesterday. Kapanen with a goal, and Engström and Nurmi both added assists in their games.

Beck and Mešár both had two assists nights yesterday. Unfortunately Beck’s was part of a 7-5 loss. Quite nifty skill and silky mitts on Beck’s assist.

He may be looking at a long career in Russia or Europe. I'm trying to avoid even watching him because I hate he may never play a game for us

There's no way the media, and therefore Bettman, allow Mailloux in the NHL. More than a few similar reactions to this story

The politically correct crowd control the narrative and it will never be enough for the virtue signallers. They will attack anyone who tries to support the guy. The NHL will never accept the bad press that he represents. He's done in my opinion, fair or not

Mailloux did not write the story, so this is flare up is not on him.
Look, if the dude continues to learn in counseling, do the right things off the ice, then he will ultimately be allowed to play in NHL. The legal case for the NHL keeping him out is far from air-tight. Yes, I think the NHL wants to exercise 'control' (at least the optics) over the situation so I believe the Canadiens will slow play this thing. Next year he plays either as an over-ager in the OHL or in the AHL, which is not governed by the NHL. Then after an additional year of being a contrite and law-abiding citizen, the NHL is most likely going to unbar the door.
I like Ian Kennedy but he is mixing some different cases together rather liberally in his tweet.

Andrew has done a great job summarizing Hutson’s Hockey East awards (so far!).
Today is semi final day of the annual Beanpot. Four prospects are in action. Games will be streamed on the TSN app.
Harvard (Farrell) Vs Boston College 5:00pm ET
Northeastern (Struble) Vs Boston University (Tuch, Hutson) 8:00pm ET

Yesterday, Rohrer scored his 15th to open the scoring for Ottawa on route to a 4-3 win over Sarnia. Out west, Davidson had an assist on all three Seattle goals in a 3-1 win. Brad Lambert has been putting up points since joining the TBirds, so their offense is even stronger than before. And it will get even scarier soon as Arizona just assigned Guenther to Seattle. The final boost will be when younger Dach heals up and is able to return to action. They could be quite the powerhouse, although they already are!

Games will be streamed on the TSN app. Harvard (Farrell) Vs Boston College 5:00pm ET Northeastern (Struble) Vs Boston University (Tuch, Hutson) 8:00pm ET I caught some of the Harvard/Quinnipiac game this weekend. Hate Quinnipiac. Today's college version of Lemaire's NJ Devils without the superstars. It may not have been Farrell's best day. He showed some nice passes and a willingness to backcheck, but he didn't drive offense during the periods that I saw. Hopefully he'll be better in the Beanpot. Hutson is impressing. 35 in 25 games now. He turns 19 next week. If only he can put on a few more pounds. I think he's around 160 right now and he's managing his defensive game quite well (+21) but the NHL is another beast. Quinn Hughes manages to avoid getting into strength battles with bigger guys so perhaps Hutson can do the same. One scouting report I read made that point. He avoids getting into those positions. He manages to fool forecheckers when he goes back for the puck, so they miss him and he comes away. He also moves the puck so well that he's the opposite of the David Savard-Joel Edmundson model and doesn't need to spend time in his own end and deal with a cycle. Interesting prospect. Geeze, I keep looking at the HuGo style of management vs the Bergevin style. I can point to 3 specific fairly high risks that HuGo took that Bergevin wouldn't have touched. The Hutson drafting is an easy first one. No way Bergie drafts a 5'8', 150 lb playmaking defenseman. The Kirby Dach deal is a second. You had to have a lot of confidence that Dach was a much better player than he showed in Chicago and then to give up Romanov to get the pick that Chicago wanted might have taxed Bergie's grey cells. A final, though somewhat less risky move, is the Slakovsky pick. I think, after the KK criticism, Berg would have taken the safe route and picked Wright. We don't know if HuGo are right yet, but at least they were willing to take a chance on the higher ceiling of Slafkovsky vs the higher floor of Wright. Quite the difference in style and I'm enjoying it.

Farrell with a nice feed to Coronato to make it 2-0 (it is 2-1 now). Farrell freezes the defenders on the play.

Farrell was quiet as they really focused on him and Coronato when the pair were on the ice. He did make some nice plays, but a very quiet showing for him compared to his usual effort.

The NHL has gone extra woke to offset the junior scandals. I'm not sure if they are going to try to exclude Mailloux but given US love for a good lawsuit, a $500 million lawsuit against the NHL will get attention from owners. Mailloux should already be setting the table with a good lawfirm.
NHL already running into problems in Florida with DeSantis. I hope he takes their head off and he's likely president in 2024.
The NHL better be careful diving into the culture wars the way it has....as if I give a damn if it's sued to oblivion.

I read some of the comments. The Sun went for the dramatic Mailloux headline. The adversity referred to isn't the original controversy, it's the physical injuries he has been dealing with. The Hockey News reporter just went to full outrage & probably didnt read the story. As for Ian Cole, I see that he has played 47 games out of the 50 TB have played. I heard allegations a while back but if seems they have not come to anything if he is still playing. Not sure about that though.

Huge night for Farrell. Five points in a 6-3 Harvard win. He is now second in NCAA scoring and padded his second overall ppg numbers too.
Beanpot final on Monday next.
