The bottom six teams (everyone else other than the Marlies) are within 9 points. The bottom four are within 3 points of each other. This is going down to the wire and every game is “must win” for the boys.

Maybe Struble suiting up can help the team.

Maybe Struble suiting up can help the team. Houle was asked about Struble. He said he needs to watch games to understand the system and he has no minimum number of games he wants to give him at this point. He referenced his vets and ECHL call ups who have earned their spots and they are in a battle for a playoff spot. Dinosaur.

Barron, RHP, Ylönen, Belzile and Richard have not looked out of place and have fit in well. Now, on a healthy team, most of those guys don’t get out of the AHL lineup, but they have not “hurt” the team. He has one more year after this on his contract. He was hired by the past regime. There will be tons more young guys next fall in Laval (a huge incoming class). It will be interesting to see if HuGo sticks with him or brings in their own guy.

I wonder if HuGo want continuity between the AHL and the big club... I am unsure if the way he coaches and Marty coaches is the same...

Richard’s emergency recall is over. He should be a big help to Laval down the stretch.

My faith was faltering during their early season struggles but he deserves tons of credit on the turn around. Richard, RHP Belzile we’re on major heaters when they got their recall. Barron was solid after his uninspired training camp. Then he got the generation guys like Teasdale, Primeau and Trudeau etc going. Not to mention the unheralded group like Galipeau, Dube, Abbadonato etc who have been nice reclamation/ rough diamond finds. He’s one of the main reason his team is in the playoff picture imo. He deserves some props here

Tough loss for 5-3. Rocket had some real momentum at times but just let this one slip away. Tough loss for their playoff aspirations. I’m usually sceptical when a prospect come over to North America as there is a period and usually not impactful as advertised. Heineman looked like he belong with his speed strong shot and he looks strong on the puck. Exactly as advertised. Scored a big goal to get the Rocket o; the board and within a goal. Solid debut for Heineman last night

Struble surprised me with his puck moving last night. Not necessarily fast skater but smart passes. My first viewing of him so small sample size. But those guys comparing him to Romanov might be right. Saw flashes of his physical game but he played a safe make the right play type game. I didn’t understand why people were so hyped to get this guy to play and why he didn’t play Wednesday but looks to be very capable AHL Dman..
Heineman looked good again. Smart offensive guy. Know we’re to be on the ice and showed some playmaking last night.
They out played their opponent almost with 50 shots but still lost 3-2. Frustrating lost. They in the middle of the playoff race but in a bad slump.

Primeau looked great today.4-1 win. Rocket got some good breaks for once and the puck bounced their way on the first few goals. Moose player lost his skate blade on PK basically giving Laval a 5 on 3 with rocket scoring. Struble looked good again. Showing off some good skating. Important win keeping them in the mix for a playoff spot

The Rocket played their second game in Winnipeg in three nights last night, this time without their starting goalie who was called up to play near his hometown and family in Philly. The Moose have a much better record than Laval, but for the second straight time, the Rocket gutted out a huge road win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The 6-3 win was lead by a three point night from Dube, and two goals each from Heineman and Teasdale. That was Emil’s fourth goal in four games and Teaser has been enjoying a late season resurgence.

There's something about Heineman that reminds me of Marian Hossa, stylistically. His upside is obviously a completely different conversation... but when I look at his skating, shot and the work that he puts into getting open, I can't help but think of Hossa.
And here's where I have to remind myself that Marcel Hossa was also stylistically similar to his big brother Marian... just so that I don't get my hopes up on Heineman.

Heineman is exactly what the doctor ordered. The offense was drying up with all the recalls and injuries but he hit the ground running here in North America. I didn’t expect instant offense.I missed the 3rd period last night but the Rocket really took it to the Moose in the 1st and 2nd. Poulin looked pretty good considering it’s his first game in a month. Dube seems to fit in whatever line Houle puts him on and adds offense. Trudeau is in a bit of a slump latley. A bit concerning as he is used as the #1 DMan I hope he picks it up soon

Big 3-0 win yesterday for the Rocket!! I didnt watch this one pass a tornato game delay half way thru 1st. Yep a tornato was in the area and delayed the game...anyways Primeau with the shutout.
If this Primeau shows up to training camp, Habs will have a good problem on their hands of too many goalies

If this Primeau shows up to training camp, Habs will have a good problem on their hands of too many goalies And Heineman’s fifth goal in five games with the Rocket opened the scoring and ended up being the GWG. I know his hot streak won’t last forever, but it is helping the Rocket win some critical games. Good for Primeau. The Dobeš signing means he actually has some legit competition in the Laval net next season, which will be good to see how he handles that new form of pressure. Hope he keeps up his good play as these are all pretty well must-win category types of games with that playoff race so darn tight.

Come from behind 6-4 victory! Massive Laval win for the playoff race. Monsters lost tonight so they gained another 2 points. Heineman with another 3 point night including a goal. Dube Stephens and Heineman bringing it right now.

A huge game against Cleveland tonight. Biggest of the season. Must win. Four point game…all the classic rhetoric!
Laval gets reinforcements too as both recent emergency recalls have been sent back down.

Laval laid an egg in the third. Penalties and sloppy play hurt. They also got a rather unfavourable call. Primeau was run over. Scrum ensues. Laval gets the only penalty. 5 on 3 leads to the tying goal. Houle is livid on the bench.
The Rocket are definitely behind the eight ball in the charge for the last playoff spot in their division now. Every game is a must win and they likely need some help too with some Cleveland losses. Never say never boys!
