Bruins dodge a huge bullet as Luostarinen hits the bar.

Montour is playing with fire. Back to back penalties.
EDIT:
Paid for second one. 2-2.
EDIT:
Redeemed himself to send it to OT.

OT for BOS-FLA. Confirming that 17th pick is painful as heck.

I was counting on Boston as serious competition for Toronto but the way they have played the last 2 games is discouraging. They cant hold on for 60 seconds to win a series?
I just dont see Florida as a serious opponent to Toronto, even if they do beat the Bruins.

No way!!!
Hats off to the Panthers!
Upset of the century to date!
Columbus sweeping Tampa in 2019.
Habs coming back from 1-3 down to beat Washington in 2010 is right up there.

Helluva regular season, Boston!
But not just a 1st Round exit...a 1st Round collapse. 3 straight losses.

I wonder about a letdown...but I don't think so. Beantown is stunned. Something just smashed into my front door....a coffee cup thrown by Cam Neely.

Love seeing Marchand as a loser He had the series on his stick at the end of game 5 & got stopped. Will probably be haunting him all off season.

Jeje, the record-setting Bruins blew it. Largely they were undone by Ullmark, but Swayman was really quite poor on both of the Montour goals.
Bergeron may not have been close to 100 percent when he entered the series, but at his age you have to wonder if the body is telling him to retire. Being an effective top six centre at age 38 is a lot harder than being an old goat patrolling the blue line.
I think Florida has been firing on an adrenaline high for weeks now, so I foresee them running out of gas against the Leafs.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you on Florida's chances.
This should put the cant win with Tkachuk stuff to rest. 11 points in 7 games. Right now he looks like the 2nd best player in the 2016 draft behind Matthew's.

Down 1-3. Honorable mention, for sure. I was thinking more about the last seed upsetting the President's Trophy winner in Round 1. We got close in Round 3 that same year when we beat Vegas, who tied Colorado for most points, but lost the President's Trophy tiebreaker.

This upset stands out because of the record-setting season. Comparable to the Habs eliminating the record-setting Bruins in '71.

Cool fact on the broadcast...
Seattle is the 2nd team in NHL history to score the first goal in each game of a 7-game series.
The other team is Toronto in 2004 vs. Ottawa--the last series they won prior to this season.
Coincidence....
That was also the year the Habs came back to beat Boston after being down 1-3.

Was wondering how Jack Edwards called the winner.
Found it on a NESN feed.
Verhaegheeee...[GOAL SCORED]...wins the series for Florida! And this joyride ends in a....Hindenburg-like ending....

I would have loved to hear him after the mikes were turned off. The above might end up the most watched Jack Edwards clip of all time.

The house cleaning in Cowtown continues. Given how he handled (mishandled) the youth, you could see this coming. I think there are two more years left on his extension too. Expensive mistake. The new GM will get to pick their new coach.
