Windsor may have beaten the Petes 5-2 last night, but red hot Beck was in on both goals with a 1g 1a night.

Impressive play from Beck. That backcheck on the dman surprised him and then it was a good finish on a fine pass.
The assist was very nice as well. Looked off what he was going to do and put a pass right on the tape.
Thi is more of what I was hoping for from Beck. I have him slotted as our #3 in a couple of years, but would love for him to be skilled enough to be a regular 2C on most teams.

More Pitlick power. I am showing more of his highlights of late because he has been heating up. He scored his fifth of the season in a 3-3 tie last night, but it was number 4 in his last three games. Middelstadt also had an assist in the game.

After Mešár opened the scoring in the Kitchener-Owen Sound matchup last night, Guindon responded with a bit of a good bounce of his own for his 12th of the season and it was all Owen Sound the rest of the way in a 4-1 victory.

Konyushkov from the high slot today.
In Switzerland yesterday, both prospects were in action. Rohrer is back from a minor injury and netted a goal in Zurich’s win. Across town in Kloten, Reinbacher picked up an assist as Kloten won 5-2 for their new head coach. Fun fact, Reinbacher was matched up on the top pairing with Habs’ legend 😆 Nathan Beaulieu. A number of ex-Habs still play in the NLA actually.

Listened to an interview (Patrik Bexell and some guy who watches the Swiss NL) and that same info came out, that Reinbacher is on the top pair with Beaulieu, but also that his is no on the first PP unit. Nathan was on that and before him, Fleming was rotating all the D (duh). Seems like the right changes are being made. Kloten beat the team currently in first place in the NL, despite being 'dominated' The only exception was when Reinbacher and Beaulieu were out there. Their expected goals number was 64% or something like that...comfortably above 60. A number over 55 is good.
He also has corrected some of the weaknesses from last year, which were zone exits and entries. He's still not 100%, it seems, recovering from that injury, but his timing is getting better and better.
Michkov is having a strong year, with 24 points in 27 games. If I was a critic (Hell, of course I am), I'd say yes, he's putting up a lot of points for a team with the 3rd worst goal differential in the entire KHL, so defense does not seem to be a focus. I'd say if he was still on SKA, he'd have half the points or less because he wouldn't be getting the ice time and management would demand more attention to defense. And....having said that, I think any criticism of guys like Lafleur or Kane or Brett Hull were quite tempered because their contributions on the offensive side overshadowed the defensive weaknesses. You like your stars to at least be average defensively but some guys get more rope.
I'd sure like to know the back story to SKA lending him to Sochi. Is he that much of a distraction? Does he not get along with the coach? Does he ignore instruction? Is there too much politics involved? Eventually, I'd like the answer to why the Habs scouts (and this seemed to be a consensus and not just a majority) did not want to risk their pick on him despite the potential gain.

Rohrer’s goal on Friday was a result of battling hard in front of the net.

He's always become the best goalie in whatever league he's in. That sounds like a good thing.

A goal and an assist from Beck in a 5-3 win last night. I like how going back to the O has done wonders for him... Laval should be a fun place next year depending on how many graduate to the big club next year

Reinbacher played over 17 minutes, paired again with Beaulieu, in a Kloten win today. Rohrer scored his 5th of the season, the insurance marker in a 4-2 Zurich win. He has no fear of going to the net and the dirty areas! Like it.
Eriksson with an assist today in a Växjö win today. It is a quick touch pass to a linemate in transition. Looks simple, but it is a move that translates to the pros in moving the puck quickly and up the ice.

Mešár ties it up late, but the Rangers eventually lose in OT.
Pitlick is feeling it. Minny wins 4-1 tonight.
