At least Bedard scored his first NHL goal last night, so we're spared of showing up in that highlight for all of eternity. He hasn't scored his first hat trick or overtime winner yet, however, so stay tuned.

I repeat....it wasn't an auspicious start for TO. They needed some flawed goaltending from Allen in order to squeak out a win against a (let's admit it) not very good Habs team. And their defence got really exposed. It's a mess back there and Woll better be good because D and goaltending are keys to winning, not scoring.

Bedard can do whatever he likes as it won't add up to much. I'm predicting a Habs win. Hopefully Slafs can show what a #1 can do!

Slaf really impressed me in the torranna game, his back check was surprising... he has developed some serious leg strength to do that... also the assist on the newhook goal was all vision... all that work he did back home is starting to show... I expect him to get better playing with Dach... The concern I have about Saturdays game is they put tugboat Savard out against Bedard... if that happens Bedard will get a hat trick... |

I see Bedard putting up some points as a good Canadian boy playing in the Mecca. But don't see Les Boys stinking out the joint like the leafs in their hoime opener. Kids will be pumped - Dach line will be jacked.

Frickin' Connor Murphy. I remember last season he plastered Suzuki (clean hit) and Anderson bested him in the subsequent fight. I guess he learned his lesson and was not about to drop them tonight.
