That was a hard shot, he had a lot of velocity in a very short stick movement

For sure, that was nice. Slafkovsky really snapped it off. Good play by Evans to carry the biscuit inside with the extra 4v4 space and open that lane for the kid.
Former-Leaf Sandin with a blast. I really do not rate Strome's overall game all that much, but the dude is taking numbers and cleaning up at the dot.

Wilson nails Matheson from behind when he didn't have the puck, no call... Arber needs to tune him up

Thanks Skilly. Wouldn’t mind it that much. It would force Slaf to be the driving force.

Canucks beat Canes 3-2 in a highly skilled, fast paced game. Very entertaining.

Calgary tightening the noose on Boston, 4-1. Regression time for the Bruins.

Jeje, Boston will be fine, in the regular season that is.
Good result though, Montreal needs to keep Calgary above them in the league standings.

Matheson finally passes to the right to Slaf A one timer in the top block side corner! 5-2 FINALLY!!!! Let's see if that registers with Matheson and his low IQ. Slaf is right there every PP and Matheson just ignores him.

That was some ugly hockey. It's easy to say it's rust from the all-star break but those were two bad hockey teams. Felt like I was watching an oldtimers game: Ovie, Max, Edmundson, Carlson all well past their prime. Caps are going to have a dark decade.
On the Habs side: Persson just downright bad; Amia just not interested; Josh I don't know what but ugly. And can't say Gignac is NHL ready even at 26.
This is going to get really ugly when we play legit playoff teams.

Saw the highlites and the Slaf goals are sniper level.
Maybe we finally got the top 6 of our hockey dreams.
Let's see if he goes on a run and solidifies this step.

Suzuki, Caufield Dach, Slafkovsky
Those are the feedstock of our top 2 lines. We need health, growth, and consistency but that’s a legit foundation. Maybe no 100 point guy but potentially good enough and a like the blend of skill and size.

I think slaf needs to be on the 1st line, the only way that changes is if we get zegras, then he's on the top line and slaf moves with Dach and most likely newhook Caufield-Suzuki-Zegras Newhook-Dach-Slaf Top 6 all under 25

You need to have atleast a couple of guys like that to give you a chance in the playoffs.
