I went ahead with RDS on my cable package because the video quality should be smoother and then there’s the preseason games later this month too. I can’t record youtube either, which is another disadvantage.

I went ahead with RDS on my cable package because the video quality should be smoother and then there’s the preseason games later this month too. I can’t record youtube either, which is another disadvantage. In Android there is an app that takes out the youtube ads and an app that records streaming. THEN you have to downloaded to your tv memomry stick. I routinly do that for important videos like nose hair trimming techniques. Make Mol$on richer, spend the 5 bucks...

ONE HOUR LATER WITH ROBBERS...I got the channels. They are NOT 4k which is fine for recording. The new toy does a great job of upscalling to 4k.
The free English MAY be 4k but it will suck up huge amount of memory.
Piece of advice, always get the full official name of the package and ID on the conversation. It took him 1/2 hr to re-find the package that was only offered 3 days ago. The other guy was a Habs fan so that is why it was quick for him.
Sooo...whatever, onwards to games.

One of the prospects that likely have something to prove has to be Filip Mešár. As a late first rounder, there is an expectation that he can make it over other later round picks. He definitely has had to live in the shadows of his old friend and fellow Slovak Big Slaf, who has started to blossom into something quite special. Filip’s size will always be a question mark, but he is fast and skilled. He likely has to dig deeper than he has to date and show that he can do the work to take his game to the next level over the next few years and stay a relevant prospect. I hope he has a great camp.

Time to talk about a prospect I have not yet made any mention of beyond him getting picked with the second last overall pick in the last draft, 19 year old Swedish defender Rasmus Bergqvist. He has been getting Champions League games in with his SHL team, which is impressive for a guy that has only played at the J20 level to this point. He has played over 14 minutes of ice time the last two games and picked up his first “men’s team” point a couple of Champions League games ago. Another Tommy Lehman pick ( the Swedish amateur scout who was recently promoted to Head European scout for the Habs), who also helped pick Engström and Eriksson.
Seventh rounders are very long shots, especially guys no scouting service had any mention of. However, I will update if he generates any highlights over the season.

Young Koivu is not getting tons of ice time as a 18 year old on the fourth line, but he is making an impression with his shifts and it is great that he is sticking on the men’s roster against top competition.
Assist #2 on the season today. #9 jersey

If I remember correctly, in last years camp I thought he looked fantastic playing with NHL players. I think he processes the game well for the pro level. I hope he's given a legit shot in the top 6 in Laval this year.

About Mesar, if you look at the entire draft for 2022, the five guys picked ahead of him haven't played a game in the NHL yet. The 6 guys behind him in round one have a grand total of 2 games played. The second round has produced 46 games played so far with 33 of them going to one guy. 3rd round and up only 1 game.
I think he is just on track like most guys drafted that year. We are just a little impatient because he hasn't dominated yet. Time will tell.

Demidov starting to cook in the KHL. He had a four point night (2g 2a). #91. He added an empty netter after this tweet was posted.
He also played 16:26 TOI today and his 6 points in 6 games is now the tops for his team as a 18 year old. I think he is earning his roster spot so far!

I enjoyed the part where the team is celebrating and the goalie is still acting like the play should continue because no way that went in.

For some weird reason I keep looking at the KHL stats and wonder if there is anyone there that we can steal. Problem is how do we know how good they will be in the NHL when most of them playing in the KHL were failures in the NHL. Someone like Sorkin who is 24. But then I go to HockeyDb and last year he was .5 ppg. www.quanthockey.com/khl/seasons/khl-players-stats.html

Does it not seem that an awful lot of our draftees are doing really well? Nice patience by Rohrer on that second goal. Even on the first, he's battling in front of the net, which is what you're supposed to do. At other times, it might hit his skate and bounce away, so take what you get.
Outside of Guhle's appendectdomy, this year seems to be starting off on a more positive note than last year. It's a pre-cursor. I'm looking forward to that Bobrovsky injury.

Demidov vs Konyushkov today in KHL action. SKA won 4-3 and both players reportedly played well, despite no points. SKA spent a lot of time on the PK today, so that resulted in less TOI for Demidov.
