Guhle is playing tonight. So is X, likely same pairing. Not sure i agree with X being in the line-up as there will be fireworks in a meaningless game. We're not dressing our studs: Suze, Cole, Slafs or Dach. I sure as heck wouldn't have Hutson dressed either. Let's face it: pre-season is a joke and I'd much rather our studs be healthy come the opener and work off any rust the first few games of the season. Better than having thugs run at us with impunity while refs are confounded as to how to handle the chaos in pre-season.

Do we have the full lineup?
If there fireworks i want Struble and Mailman along with our toughest forwards in the lineup.
Can we dress Nilan, Brashear, Fergy and Moen?

You got your wish: Strubs and Mail are paired together. Also Savard and Guhle, and then X and Barron. Witht the exception of Barron, that's a tough D corp. Marty ain't fooling around!!! Forget the puck, start the game!

This isn't going to be a "development" game...
Wouldn't it be a hoot if these guys scored 3-4 pp goals? There is no way Mailman and Guhle are not on the 1st PP.

Years ago the Rags drafted Dylan McIlrath, a HUGE Habs fan. Use to go under the nickname...The Undertaker...all 6'5" and 240 lbs. Not much talent but not many sane people want to tangle with him.
He would look great in a Habs sweater in the AHL. Between him, X and Little X, it would be highly inadvisable that anyone play tough with the Habs.

Seems to be some confusion as that line-up does not have Guhle. Don't know which post to believe. Or is Marty playing games - which I'm OK with.

So Guhle is not playing...nor should he against scrubs. Nor should Dach. He can take care of himself but he's a bit too willing fighter and I'm worried about him.

The Habs are dressing Emil Heineman, Luke Tuch, and Michael Pezzetta ... Pezzetta is a good pugilist, providing he stays in his weight class ... I haven't seen a lot of Heineman yet, from what I read on him, he's a big man who plays big ... Tuch is also a tough customer, so Arber Xhekaj might not have to take on the entire Senator's team all by himself ... I'm also interested in seeing whether the officials can maintain control of the game ... and, it's not just the Habs ... every team gets their nights with the officials ... Cheers.

True to form for pre-season games, the home team is dressing their A team: Ott has Strutz, Tchuk and Chabot dressing as is Grieg.

And then he gets to the box and mouths off like he won. What a tool.

I wish they just shoot and crash

Pretty sure that was the Sens own stick that hit his face Refs showing their MTL distaste early this year

Not that it matters, but I thought on the goal Guhle made a weak pass to the Habs right wing who was soft on the puck.
McEwen is a scrub (scratched half the season in 2023-24) who is really not an effective fourth liner. Coming out of the box he was just trying to feel better about himself, hoping the fans would give him some love.

Does any part of the special teams work?
That looked like a dive to me as well. I guess the refs are ignoring what a total putz Cousins is.

Teams don’t mind taking liberties with us cause they know our PP is not going to score
If we are going to start taking liberties, then we better buck up on the PK or it’s going to be a very long year

Yeah, the power play has actually looked okay in the sense of what they are doing (passing quickly, pucks on net, looking backdoor) makes sense; the problem is with this group tonight there are no natural snipers dressed.
But the special teams are becoming a real shadow hanging over the season.
