Guys, it's not Matheson. He has not made a bad pass on the PP yet. Dach gave up two chance to shoot to try to pass it through 6 legs to Caufield. The Barre fella, did the same thing. You all are clamouring for a cannon option. What good is it if they don't shoot.

Montembeault was immense that period. The Habs could not take advantage of significant power play time. And the Leafs really started to boss the game at even strength.

Wow, the boys worked like crazy in the 3rd. The refs gave Toronto every benefit of the doubt and yet Montreal closed the door. Montembeault was unreal. I cannot recall since the 2021 run to the Finals a more immense performance by a Habs goalie.
There are things to correct and work on. But it is much easier to get those things corrected with two points in the pocket.
