There are a few things that can not be found on Youtube. Tyranasaurus Rex mating, Dodo birds flying, Mapleleaf fans parading.

Now I got myself into another game day superstition. Post a song to a player and he scores. ;D

Still doin’ it Ten Years After (OK, 38). Tonight’s Bluesfest entertainment (INXS doesn’t come close). Great concert – they still got it.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this....it fits here just nicely.
Went to see a true legend, John Fogerty, in concert last night in London, Ontario.
His voice hasn't lost a bit of timbre or range. Flawless. Too bad he had what seems to be an irreconcilable fall-out with Stu Cook and Doug Clifford.
Fogerty's drummer on this tour was a special treat for me: another legend....Kenny Aronoff.

Here's "Ten Years After" and one of my favouritesStill a classic today. And another from the past A time of the season. The presentation is someone's idea; however, the music is on. Cheers.

Here's "Ten Years After" and one of my favouritesStill a classic today. Of course they did that one . . .bbefore the call for an encore . . . good thing, too . . . when they came back out they discovered they'd blown their speakers and left us sadly wanting more. Rod Argent’s best song, imo . . . well, even better than this apologetic (the band: Petra, who did this well before KISS destroyed it).

I remember seeing Alvin Lee and Ten Years After at the Montreal Forum back in the early eighties opening for, would you believe, Ozzy Osbourne. That was a crazy night I barely remember.

1968--The Dirty MacJohn Lennon put together a super-group called "The Dirty Mac" for the ill-fated Rolling Stones TV special called, "Rock and Roll Circus". It was recorded on December 11, 1968. The members: Lennon; Eric Clapton ("Cream" had just broken up, and he was about to form "Blind Faith"); Keith Richards on bass; Mitch Mitchell on drums (of the Jimi Hendrix Experience). "Yer Blues" (from the White Album, 1968) never sounded better. It was also the first time Lennon had played LIVE since the Beatles had stopped doing so. BTW...I have a feeling these boys were doing a little more than "sipping on a rye".

I'd never seen this footage before CH...thx so much for the treat! CO p.s. man....does Mick EVER look "fried" in the intro!

Like a lot of artists Warren Zevon's most popular song (Werewolves of London) was probably the worst one he ever wrote. Here's one of my favorites, and one of the great, all-time sports songs, in my opinion. Boom Boom Mancini[/color]

BC, I never heard too much of Warren Zevon after "Werewolves of London". Too bad really. He looks like a pretty decent guitar player. Thanks guys. Cheers.

Credit goes to the lead guitarist in our band. He's emulated Clapton, Page, Hendrix, Blackmore, Schenker, Vaughan, et al his entire life it seems. He's quite the player. We've just recorded a demo CD of 8 classic rock covers...and we're doing the final mix tomorrow evening. When we get it on-line (perhaps on myspace) I'll send you a link. He's worth hearing.

I met Tommy in Toronto at Hugh's Place. A genuinely nice guy and a terrific player. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZNJf-h7F8s&feature=relatedOne of his tunes was featured during the opening ceremonies at the Sydney Olympics and he played live during the closing ceremonies. He's a national treasure down under.

I can't read the name of Tommy's guitar on the headstock. What a great sound. Helps that you're a great player.....fantastic.
