You are a "her" Her?? Oyyyy! Okay......BC, shut up and leave her alone. We don't want her to think that we are a bunch of cave dwelling, hockey stick chewing, puck munching brutes (BC is, I am not). We just have permanent bad hair days ever since ’93. Ahhh...too late. You have already showed me your real self. Yes, I am.

The fact that Kastsitsyn hasn't signed for this season may turn out to be a break for the Canadiens. If he signs for the 2004-2005 season, it would fall under the new CBA (assuming there is one). The renegotiated CBA would probably reduce the rookie signing bonuses for 1st rounders. The same saving would also apply to Nathan Horton and other June draftees if they aren't signed by September 28.

On HF, a poster mentioned that AK is skating on the fourth line with CSKA, along with Zerdhev. They combined for the game winning goal in their last game. Info is apparently coming from russianprospects.com

Info is apparently coming from russianprospects.com This what is written on Russian prospects: 09/17/2003 Montreal Canadiens 10th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Andrei Kostytsin made his Super League season debut with CSKA Moscow. He registered an assist Columbus Blue Jackets top 2003 pick Nikolai Zherdev's game winning goal. here's the home page of CKSA with the boxscores of all their recent games: www.cska-hockey.ru/?newsIt looks like they are talking about the game played on the 15th since: www.cska-hockey.ru/?games/game15-09-0331:34 Æåðäåâ (Êîñìà÷åâ, Êîñòèöûí) - 0:1;using babelfish we get: 31:34 it is thin-pole (Kosmachev, Kostitsyn) - 0:1; I'll assume Zherdev is ''thin pole'' translated ;D Nice to see Kasty playing with CKSA..but yet I am sure he's gonna be a bust edit: BC mentionned this a few days ago in the Europe update thread heheh

Nice to see Kasty playing with CKSA..but yet I am sure he's gonna be a bust Too bad it was short lived, he didn't play in today's game. Looks like he is a bust afterall. Just to add.. "thin pole's" future is said to be decided as early as tomorrow (Sunday). If he does end up in Columbus it might open up a spot for Kastitsyn.

Even though Kasty is still young, he has played so many games in his career that I think it's time to give up on him. If, after six games, he hasn't blossomed into an NHL all-star at age 19, his career is over. Conversely if he has a great year this year with six goals in six games, he will make everyone forget Wayne Gretzky. The reality is, Kasty is a HIGH RISK, high reward pick who might blossom into a NHL star in three years or join Burturlin and Eneqvist in the ranks of nice-try. He was worth taking a chance (although I preferred Steve Bernier). Corey Locke was a fourth round pick with a higher potential upside and less risk of never being heard from again. You lose some and you lose some.

When all of the candidates I really wanted were gone when Savard stepped up to announce the name of the #10 pick I was hoping to hear "Hugh Jessiman" but I wasn't displeased to her Kastsitsyn instead.
