Trivia question:
Without looking it up, who are the players currently in 1st and 5th place according to "The Voice of the Fans" on the Habs' official website?
Trust me... we're talking about me here... nobody needs to look this up ;D

Pebbles (cause he wears a cammie) and BAM-BAM? Mais oui, mon ami, mais oui! The funny part? If I'd done this question last night, Marc-André was in 6th place, not 5th... so there are people other than myself who DO like him

I was going to say he didn't play for us, but indeed he did... But no, not Rory. Hint:He didn't actually play in the game.

Chris Nilan. 1991. Selected by Bruins' coach Mike Milbury, as Nilan was playing for Boston at the time.
Nilan missed the game because of a broken ankle.
Rules were changed.....don't know how. Perhaps that a coach can't select a non all-star talent as a "sentimental favourite"?

Didn't they change the rules because Jean Beliveau played his first game ever in an all-star game.
The changed the format from Cup champs vs best of the rest ....to First team all-stars (and US based selected players) vs second team all-stars (and Montreal-Toronto based players)

Nilan missed the game because of a broken ankle. I didn't search to see why Chris' selection caused such an uproar, so I don't know what "special powers" he had [or his coach had] to annoy people Other random facts about Chris: -played for the Habs twice: 1979-80 to 1987-88; finished off his career with us in 1991-92 -missed over two hundred games in his final five seasons [injuries] -is one of only 9 players to rack up more than 3000 PIM, an honour (?) he shares with Tie Domi -holds the records of highest penalty minute average per game at 4.42 minutes per game, as well as the record for most penalties in a single game [ten penalties: six minors, two majors, one misconduct and one game misconduct, for a total of 42 penalty minutes]

Trivia question:He won 2 Stanley Cups [neither one them while with the Habs] and became our coach after his retirement. Who was he? Ahhhh I love trick questions ... Babe Siebert - the only coach in the history of the NHL to not have a win, a lose or a tie. He died before the season started.

Answer:Ahhhh I love trick questions ... Babe Siebert - the only coach in the history of the NHL to not have a win, a loss or a tie. He died before the season started. As Skilly pointed out, he died at the age of 35 in a drowning accident shortly after he was hired but before the 1939–40 season started. Other facts: -His death left his family in such financial distress that the NHL held a memorial game for him, the third all-star game in NHL history. -He was inducted into the HHOF in 1964. -His regular season NHL stats were: GP 593, G 140, A 156, PIM 982 -Those PIM stats? Turns out he had more PIM per game than Georges Laraque

Cammalleri because of the hat-trick?

When they were playing keep away in the dying seconds I saw a defenseman pick it up ... I thought he gave it to Price. But odds are that game puck should of went "home" to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Cammalleri because of the hat-trick? Remember, a game can be played with more than one puck... I'm going to assume someone was nice enough to give Cammy the hat-trick puck, but that is not the puck I'm referring to.

Price does not have the puck. And neither does the HHOF. Well, they both might have one of the pucks used Friday night, but not the puck I was referring to. Please try again

Guess: Ryan O'Bryne at the end grabbed it....and yes Cammi was given the hat trick puck by the RDS announcer during the secpnd period intermission. Am I right?

Remember, a game can be played with more than one puck... Not at one time. To which puck are you referring? The one being used at the final siren? If so, I would guess it was given to Jacques Martin. Or maybe even Jean Beliveau.

If so, I would guess it was given to Jacques Martin. Or maybe even Jean Beliveau. Yes, that one. And no, neither Jacques nor Jean.

my thought was that it might have been given to Elmer Lach.

Elmer looked great. Still moving under his own power, and talking to people. Emile on the other hand, I'm not sure what's keeping him going (other than perhaps Forum Ghosts).

Very glad I put my coffee cup down before reading your words of wisdom ;D *** If you guys want to take your time answering, that's fine by me because I left my notes for my next question at home. I remember the question, it's just the hints and subsequent facts are not memorized. *** And I'm still waiting for someone to convince me as to why I should like Josh Gorges. My impression of him so far is: big, broody guy, with no hair [what is with the shaved head thing? we've got Gorges, Halak, Gomez, Metro, Pleky, Mara] who cannot clear the puck out of our zone. Do you have a convincing argument? If so, please post it in the Josh Gorges thread, thank you

Are you in the right thread, mon ami Unless of course, those were your guesses to the question. Alas, it was neither Elmer nor Émile... Elmer hasn't changed a bit either, except now his hair is white. Doing pretty good for a really old guy
