Like Myers, don't like Kesler.
I can't wait for Myers to come over and get trained in MThead "trough defense".

For what it's worth Pierre McGuire said "not to count out Montreal" when it comes to Kesler. that's Cherryesque. what does it mean other that "I haven't got a clue and it may or may not happen but if it does I can say 'I told you so'".

Not really a surprise re Markov. If they could manage a move for Myers, he's another right side defender.
Markov-Subban Gorges-Myers Tinordi-Beaulieu-Sarich(to replace Murray)

God I love this time of year.... Dreams dreams dreams....NIGHTMARE. I don't see any player that's "available" that would help the habs. I want to see Young prospects that have professional games under their belt. May it be AHL or NHL. Guys like Emerson Etem in Anaheim. Guy doesn't seem like he would be expensive. Might be something that comes back in a package deal for a guy like Markov. Anaheim has a legit chance at the cup. Could use a puck moving D-man

Have we not gone down this route before? Don't believe anything he or his agent says.

And I still wouldn't put it past him to block any deal!

If Markov is a douche about all of this, i would negotiate a deal with him but leav e out the NTC, then trade him to Edmonton or Winnipeg for draft picks. All out of spite.

He worked hard and produced in hab years when he wasn't injured. Shut up and did his job well. Nice guy too. He isn't the best fit here.

Have we not gone down this route before? Don't believe anything he or his agent says. I trust agents the way I would trust Bill Clinton to date my daughter. Athletes say the right things that they rehearse with their agents but I agree with Markov if he rejects a trade and sticks to the terms of his contract.

It is a heavy contract but from what I remember from the olympics him and patches looked pretty good together.

This is a great time of the year. Like christmas when we were kids. I remember begging my parents for the new PS2 at christmas. Hoping all december for that special day. Only to find that I didn't get one. Got a bunch of other cool stuff, but that one special thing wasn't there. My brother, who has a birthday 2 weeks after Christmas, got a brand new PS2. As consolidation, I walked away with a second controller so that I could play as well.
I have this uneasy feeling this will happen again. My expectaions aren't high. Any move that moves Bourque, Eller, Bouillon will make me happy. Picks, so-so prospects, Gazdic from Edmonton. Anyone see him knock out Westgarth and Stoner?

Creasy reporting that Legwand is on the block and Montreal, Detroit and Chicago are interested. We've already got a glut of centers, so I'm not sure how this helps. Don't see him as an improvement over Plekanec (who's our sort of defacto checking center).

Creasy reporting that Legwand is on the block I'll pass. he brings nothing we don't have, with the exception that he is over 6' tall.

Dreger reporting that Sens are quietly shopping Spezza. 30 years old, ppg player, and another season left on contract at $7 million cap hit (actual salary is $4 million).

With a year left, and the expensive years of his contract behind him, it makes sense. If they can get significant return, pull the trigger.
