ya I meant Gillis. hard to get my priorities straight . . . work . . . or this. confuses me Callahan would be a Torts guy. Not sure if they can make him fit in the cap though. Bobby Lu's (Is he related to John Lu?) contract gone, they are projected to have about 12M in cap space according to cap geek.

Underperforming Sam Gagner anyone? Under contract at an inflated 4.8 but he is still young and has upside.

Renaud Lavoie saying Callahan for St Louis is done. Bolts get first rounder in 2015 and second rounder this year. OK, Callahan is just a throw-in. I heard last night (from the "experts") that if NYR couldnt sign Callahan the asking price was going to be the classic pick, prospect, player ... so they trade him and THEY are the ones giving up the picks??? For a 38 yr old?? Markov must be worth a kings ransom then ...

Prices are dropping on the premium scoring wingers available. Instead of three pieces (pick, prospect, roster player), it's looking like one or two of the pieces are now the asking price. - Gord Miller.

Need offense and he could provide. He's heavier than I thought, but yet another center ... never put up 50pts or 20g. I think a change of scenery would do him good, but it isn't Montreal imo. forecaster.thehockeynews.com/hockeynews/hockey/player.php?6052

HABS in Vanek's sweepstakes... Inspiring, but not holding breathe. He's exactly what we need. With prices dropping, hopefully it gets Berg off the fence. I'd move Eller and a pick for him, as I think he's the best fit of what's available. Moulson next, Gaborik/Hemsky, Cammalleri. Pacioretty-DD-Gallagher Vanek-Galchenyuk-Briere/Bourque(if unmoved) Prust-Plekanec-Gionta Moen-White-Weise Lots of good elements to that equation.

Bob McKenzie @tsnbobmckenzie 7m That's a 3rd in 2015 and a 5th in 2014 for Hemsky. As per @real_ESPNLeBrun, EDM takes back some salary. #Tradecentre
Pierre LeBrun @real_ESPNLeBrun 8m Edmonton Oilers eating half of Hemsky's salary for rest of the season

Sets it fairly low too.

Marty got what he wanted as apparently he demands trade and it had to be to the Rangers.

John Bartlett ( not familiar with the name) is reporting that Eller is scratched tonight. More due to production than a pending trade I would think.
Sorry, wasn't sure where to put this info.
