Listening to TSN1200 -- Chris Stevenson talking that the Habs don't like the way Tinordi has progressed and he may [but not likely] be included in a trade to Vancouver. Don't like the way Tinordi has progressed?? I could suggest that there are many on the team that have not progressed properly. I don't know . . . perhaps that's due to the way they have been utilized/poorly used? How could they come to that conclusion so soon. Where do these reporters come up with this stuff?

Kyrpeos saying that Habs are shopping Eller. That depresses me. That would be called "selling low". Between him and Tinordi, it would be disappointing if the return was meager. When Eller gets to play center, with skilled players, he produces. Tinordi is taking some time, but he's showing with every recall that he's getting better all the time.

I agree BH... this kid could be 3rd line centre at the very least, but between JM and MT they have screwed this kid up, imo. No stability at all for him. If MT spent as much time trying to help Eller as he did for DD, Eller would be a very productive player... Maybe MT hates blondes.

With Tinordi and Eller as baite, one has to believe that Bergevin is fishing for some very interesting fish...

It's eklund, so grain of salt, but he's reporting that Bourque has asked to be traded and Markov will be staying put.

It worked well for a while until Therrien broke them up to get Desharnais going. Sometimes I feel that this team is moving backwards.

It's like a boss wondering how to get rid of that dimwitted lazy employee without upsetting the union. The he just walks in a says I'm quitting.

Looks like things are close to NYR acquiring St Louis. McKenzie saying that Callahan could be part of return.

That's how you build a team. Trade the future away (Eller and Tinordi). Then acquire and resign the past (Markov and Weaver). And make sure they are 6' or less.
I'm not expecting anything else today. Not from the Habs. They rarely do anything of note on deadline day, why would today be any different. Bergevin is going to prove that he has no idea on how to build a team, just in acquiring plugs to fill holes while leaving his young players to rot in the minors until they are worth nothing.
It's still early enough in the day and he could surprise, but I doubt it.

Bob McKenzie @tsnbobmckenzie Assuming St. Louis deal is finalized, I believe Tampa is looking at Callahan as a rental. No appetite for 6 years or $6M per. #Tradecentre

The Bolts have done great to remain in the race without Stamkos, and now that he's been cleared St Louis may be on the way out.

TSN suggesting that while Callahan dropped even closer to the $6 million mark, the insistence on a NTC/NMC kicking in right away had the Rangers balking.

I'd take McGinn, not sure about his contract but he is a good player and a huge upgrade on Bork Would likely be considered a fleecing if we could do it. McGinn is 25, an RFA making $1.75 million and and has 15g and 26 points in 59 games. Steadily working towards being a 20g man. Parenteau makes a little more sense. Another year beyond Bourque, for more money, but he is at least producing. 43 points last year. 31 in 50 games this year. Not sure if his role has diminished since MacKinnon arrived.
