If we come out of this draft with anyone, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, when you get to this point, in this draft, everyone has such varying opinions that you're going to get players ranked down by Central Scouting, or other teams, getting picked earlier than expected. You'll also hear even more than usual, this phrase, "I can't believe Jimmy was still there at our pick!"

Darn, Minny took Tuch, who I was hoping would be available. NWT, do you have a guy you'd love to still be available?

That trio of Eichel, Milano and Tuch could sure rack up the points.

Louis Jean saying that Berg has been on the phone a lot. Have to say there's a guy he wants and he's still there.
Check that, says he was talking to Anaheim, now Kings.

TSN congratulating Boston on their scouting. Odd, I thought it wasn't very good. And it really hasn't been since 2006. TSN and Pierry McGuire living in the past.

Jean predicting Sherbak.

It is Scherbak. 6-1 175 lbs. A project, high risk, high reward. Looks taller than 6-1. Maybe that's cause he was up against Timmins.

First year in NA, scores at an impressive clip in a league not noted for a lot of high scorers. Led a poor team in scoring by more than 30 points. Project, but promising.

Nikita Scherbak, 6'1" 175 lbs ... LW ... big time offense guy ... thought Bob MacKenzie was describing Andre Kostitsyn when he was describing Scherbak ... I guess Kempe wasn't all that high on the list ... I also think Rowland MacKewon might be another Ryan McDonagh ...
Cheers.

I have McKeown on my do not draft list. Didn't like his hockey IQ. Kempe no offense, wasn't who I wanted.

Franko, from the clip TSN showed of Scherbak, he really looks like a strong, slick skater ... I kind of trust Timmins to identify a talented player ... TSN describes him as a "raw talent" ... well, okay ... that's the way they described McCarron and McC hasn't lived up to his billing just yet ... and there goes Adrian Kempe goes to the Kings ... can't believe we passed on him ...
Cheers.

The got DLR last year, and there are a lot of similarities between the 2. Montreal needs goal scoring. Scherbak is an inch shorter and 10lbs lighter, and his video shows he's got strong legs. Even the TSN guys were debating Kempe's ability, so you know the NHL teams were too.

I liked what Kempe brings to the table, too ... third-line guy who has the speed to kill penalties and who likes to play physical, too ... I liken Scherbak to AK (for now) and Kempe to upgraded version of Dale Weise ... Cheers.
