There's been an addition of speed and jam. None of them have the offensive upside of Sekac, but they play hard.

G Joey MacDonald from Montreal to San Jose for a 7th-rounder ... Cheers. And now I don't see the trade on TSN any more ... what's with TSN ... Cheers. They jumped the gun...it was a fake twitter account that reported it.

We definitely have some grit for the playoffs!! WE have a lot of sheets of sandpaper, mostly 40 grit. Would love to get some 600 grit for fine work on the top 6.

If nothing else happens, then it appears Bergevin was content to strengthen and get more goals out of the bottom 6.
That just might work.
A trademark of the Hawks and Kings was the bottom 6 chipping in.
Along with Petry, a second-pairing dman, we just might be in good shape.

I feel like Bergevin is dealing too much. Would of been happy with just Petry(or trade for Kessel) but I feel like we are going to mess up the chemistry and egos of the bottom six if Mitchell and Flynn are dressed in the line-up.

A lot of teams are assigning guys to their AHL clubs so that they're eligible for the Calder Cup playoffs. It's an administrative issue and probably explains why Pateryn was assigned to Hamilton earlier today. On paper, anyway.

Torrey's a west island boy, so he and his family will be very excited.

Would of been happy with just Petry(or trade for Kessel) but I feel like we are going to mess up the chemistry and egos of the bottom six if Mitchell and Flynn are dressed in the line-up. *All he needs to do is send Bournival down. *Malholtra, he's in and out. *DSP, Mitchell and Flynn can play any of the positions on the bottom 6. This will hopefully light a fire on Eller. If any of our bottom guys go down in the playoffs we have someone to plug in. Plus we add 2 kids who were dead in the water on a team that was going nowhere to top of the East in the most electric city of the league! We've not dealt any of the corps or a #1 pick.

I'm not the least bit worried about affecting chemistry. We've got a strong room and these guys coming in are complimentary pieces. They're the guys that adapt and fit in. They're not the type to try and take over a room.

They're not the type to try and take over a room. Exactly what I'm thinking. MB did not upset the main core of the team. He added support to it. All three players are coming from bottom feeders with little hope in the near future. These players are happy to be coming here, where the future is now. All in their primes. Flynn, 26. Petry, 27. Mitchell, 30. In echoing Disp's post….I just heard Mitchell on TSN690. He's over the moon to be playing for his hometown, childhood favourite team.

TSN tracker is saying two unnamed pieces for Mitchell (pick, prospect).
Max interviewed after practice. He's under the impression no one from the group is leaving. As far as he's concerned, Berg is done.

I'm just trying to figure out where everyone plays.. that's a ton of bottom 6 depth
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher Galchenyuk - Plekanec - Parenteau DSP - Eller - Weise Prust - De la Rose - Mitchell Flynn - Maholtra - Bournival Thomas...

So why did we acquire Flynn if we went and got Mitchell? I hope this doesn't mean DLR is going back to Hamilton.
Another thing that is grating on me, is we basically acquired a complete 4th line over the past week. Somehow I feel it's overkill, and we didn't need DSP. I think Bournival is getting a raw deal here, he is the sacrificial lamb. But someone else still has to sit.

Mitchell is a UFA July 1, so it's a rental deal. That's why its not costly. We've given up some draft choices though. Which makes me think, we picked up a number of them during Gauthier's regime, but Berg has tended to use them. I hope that doesn't keep up. We need to give Timmins ammunition.

I think MB new we needed more out of the bottom 6. I think DLR is safe but if the playoffs are too big for him we have vets that can take over now.

Hearing that the prices for a top forward were way too high for teams, nobody wanted to bite. Hab fans can't complain we picked up 3 bodies that cost us nothing really.
