Preds are going into a shell when they should be shooting everything at Bernier. But shots are 17-6 for the Ducks.
It's now 2-1....and Anaheim's on a PP.
EDIT:
After two...it's as if Anaheim is on a perpetual PP. The Preds are just hanging on.
Only 8 shots on net for Nashville. Full credit to the Ducks who are relentlessly driving the play. Looks as if it's going to be up to Rinne.
EDIT: Rinne holding them in....and Scissons gets his second of the night on the Preds' 9th shot on goal.

Wagner makes it 3-2. The Ducks just keep coming.
Far from over.
EDIT: Kesler almost tied it. The Ducks have green lights galore. All-out.
Reminiscent of the '75 Habs-Red Army game....
EDIT: Ducks tie it.
Only a matter of time. Preds have to get it going.
EDIT: Preds puck over the glass. This has Game 7 written all over it. Credit to the Ducks. A great offensive effort.

I need to know what the parameters on goalie interference are. Kesler makes contact with Rinne, who falls and scrambles to get back into position. Goal goes in seconds later after he barely gets into position for the shot.

The Colton Sissons show. Ducks been pouring it on up to that point.
Nice game Bernier.

Galley: "The last 8th seed to go to the cup finals was Edmonton in 2006."
...The Kings won the cup in 2012 as an 8th seed.

I know Scissons had the trick...but Rinne took a step closer to Conn Smythe-land, IMO.
What a performance tonight.

Watson...empty-netter. 6-3. Look who's in the Finals, Bergevin! That guy never hated losing enough. Saw a good Tweet earlier. "If the Habs wanted a quieter dressing room, it worked. The Habs dressing room is very quiet right now. ". Cue Joni Mitchell's Yellow Taxi.

Shots 41-18...and two of Nashville's shots were EN goals. Subban second to Ekholm with 26:41 of ice. +2. They were the #1 pairing tonight.

They are often the #1 pairing. Most of the time, they get the most ice time, not always by a lot because the 2nd pairing (My Opinion) is pretty good as well, but especially when you need to shut someone down, that pairing is the one that got the coach's trust. Re-read that last sentence. PK Subban....trusted by the coach to shut down the other team's top players. No need to compare that to his usage last year. The difference is entirely in the coaches. Laviolette is one of the best coaches around, and might end up in the conversation of top 10 coaches all time. Therrien? And remember. The GM protected that guy for 4 and a half years and continues to protect the other twit on the farm team. No need to ask where the problem with the team resides.

Galley: "The last 8th seed to go to the cup finals was Edmonton in 2006." ...The Kings won the cup in 2012 as an 8th seed. He got that wrong but TSN did say that Nashville ws the 1st 16th overall team to make the Finals.

PK Subban....trusted by the coach to shut down the other team's top players. Just adds more fuel to the fire. I always thought PK was underappreciated as a defender. Not only does he play defense by controlling the puck, he's also excellent in the D zone, using his strong lower body and quick feet to get to loose pucks and keep things in control. The presumption was Weber was a better defender than PK, and that was a big basis for the trade.... PK is showing that not only is he a more dynamic offensive player, he's also showing his chops as an elite defender every bit as good if not better than Weber. Oh, and how about being a team player? PK was a selfish, undisciplined, me-first player, right? Sorry, I never bought that either. The game plan in Nashville has been to use PK/Eckholm pair as the shutdown pair and it has worked to perfection. Subban isn't racking up points but he doesn't care and they love him in Nashville. As if we needed more evidence that the trade silly, petulant, small-minded move by Bergevin... PK is shoving it right down the throat of Bergevin and the entire old-school Montreal Canadiens organization. Go Preds!

I don't think anyone outside the sheep that follow the Cherry's of the world around bought any of the disinformation and smearing. Being part of a quartet that can skate allows him to be extremely effective at both ends of the ice. IMO, he's become the Patrice Bergeron of defense. He can beat you at both ends. I still don't think we're any further ahead if the trade doesn't happen though. Rinne has been lights out, and they're getting offense from multiple people.

I never bought the BS Bergevin was selling to justify the trade. It was just innuendo and deception because he knew he couldn't justify it as a hockey move. Shame on guys like Marinaro who bought in and tried to slag Subban in the media.
After that trade & the lack of information about Price's injury, I just don't believe a word that comes out of MB's mouth anymore. He's taken a team that reached the conference final just 3 years ago and turned it into a group with a very uncertain future. He cannot solve the scoring problem, the team has no shining prospects and the coaching talent is mediocre.
And because of the do nothing owner Bergevin will have another couple of years at the wheel telling us how hard it is to run a NHL team.
If Nashville wins the Cup and Subban brings it back to MTL I will make the trip (600KM) because it's the only way I am going to see Stanley in Montreal as long as Molson/Bergevin are in charge.
