I've made a new bracket based on Skilly's work from last year. Please make your predictions.

Looks more like an Ouija board, Dis. Where are your numbers? I'm owning a real dartboard with numbers on it, so here are my tosses.
Nashville in 6 Winnipeg in 7 San Jose in 7 Calgary in 5
Tampa Bay in 5 Boston in 7 Penguins in 6 Washington in 5

After review I've got . . .
Nashville in 5 St. Lo in 6 LV in 6 I just have no faith in SJ, though they are my dark horse surprise Cup winners Calgary in 5
Tampa Bay in 5 Boston in 5 Penguins in 6 Washington in 5
St. Lo over Nashville, Calgary over Vegas TBay over Boston, Wash over Pitts
St. Lo over Calgary or losing to SJ, TBay over Wash
and that's as far as I'm willing to go right now! St. Lo/SJ in an upset

Nashville in 5. (Rinne is always the playoff "?".)
Winnipeg in 7.
San Jose in 6.
Calgary in 5.
Tampa Bay in 4. (Bob ain't yer uncle in this one.)
Boston in 6. (The Leafs played mediocre hockey in the second half...and Boston surged. Bruins are deeper, especially on the back end.)
Pittsburgh in 6.
Washington in 5.

Tampa 4-0 - just too much for CBJ Boston 4-2 - I can't stand the Leafs & the Bruins have been playing better over the last half of the season Pitt 4-2 - The Isles are very structured defensively but Crosby & company should wear them down Wash 4-0
Nash 4-2 Winn 4-3 Vegas 4-2 - Fleury >> Jones Calg 4-1

3-0, Sergachev with the wicked wrister.
It might be time to pull Bobrovsky. If Nutivaara had not cleared one off the line this thing would be beyond a laugher.

Nashville in 6Winnipeg in 7San Jose in 7Calgary in 5Tampa Bay in 5Boston in 7Penguins in 6Washington in 5I hear you, buds ... here's my boldest ... Nashville in 6, Depends on how Ben Bishop plays. St. Louis in 6, The Blues have got it together (and have for months now) at the right time of the season. San Jose in 7, As with the DAL/NSH series, this series might depend on which M-A Fleury shows up. Calgary in 6, the Flames could be for real this year. Tampa Bay in 4, the Cup favourite. Boston in 6, I'm hoping the Bruin work ethic will be enough to bring down TO. Pittsburgh in 6, the Penguins are hard to beat any time they make it to the playoffs. Washington in 7, like St Louis, the Canes have been playing well for months. This could be the upset of the playoffs.

Overturned goal on a challenge inside of 30 seconds of play on Long Island. Call goes way of Pens. Bolts are all over the Jackets. Jets just about to start.

Great comeback by the Blue Jackets. The best Tampa players -- Vasilevsky, Hedman, Stamkos, and Kucherov-- were not very good at all.

Started this in the wrong place. Cut and paste: (I posted this before the playoffs started)
EAST
Columbus over Tampa in 6. Go big or go home. Bobs gets hot. Tampa don't get as many PP's in the playoffs.
Toronto over Boston in 6. Tavares has never heard of the Bruins curse. Chara shows us how even freaks of nature get old. Kadri shuts down Bergeron. You heard it here first. And I'm not even a Leafs fan.
Washington over Carolina in 5. Sure I'm nuts, but I'm not that nuts.
Pittsburgh over NYI in 7. It was a nice ride for the Isles, but Crosby will prove too much to handle for a hard working team
WEST
Nashville over Dallas in 5. Is Bishop healthy? Subban was scoring more as the season was ending. Not crazy about Nashville's scoring ability, but Dallas doesn't have much depth and in playoffs you need scoring.
Winnipeg over St. Louis in 7. Sure the Blues are the hottest team entering the playoffs, but I look at it as they blew their wad just getting in. I place very little weight on who's hot or cold going in. It's a new season. Teams take on a whole new attitude. The Jets have been a conundrum lately, but what the heck, they're Canadian and I'm sticking to them.
Calgary over the Avs in 5. Calgary's a better overall team, but they have to prove it. Goaltending is even more important in this series than most. If Smith or Reddich hold it together, Calgary could go on a run.
Sharks vs Knights. Most are saying flip a coin and they could be right. I like Fleury a lot better than Jones and I'm not sure Karlsson is healthy. The KNights really push you. Vegas in 7, but maybe 6 if Jones is bad. Perhaps even 3 if Jones is really bad.

Columbus looks rattled. I am not sure how mentally tough they are. tough enough to send a wake-up call to TBay. I expect this to be their 1 win, but wouldn't it be something for them to upset the President's Cup winners? Duchene and Dzingel both -1, shoulda saved the picks

What's with TBay in this game. Was Vasilevskiy not great, or is Tampa's D not very good?

What's with TBay in this game. Was Vasilevskiy not great, or is Tampa's D not very good? The highlight reel on one sports' show said that Hedman got beat a couple of times leading to GA. Maybe he's not quite right yet after that "upper body" injury.

He guessed badly on the Savard goal. I think you’re right. He’s not 100%.
1 for 5 to start. Not auspicious. My picks, not Hedman.

Hedmen definitely didn't look great. Bob had a bad first period, but was a wall after that. Could easily have been 4 or 5 to nothing before Foligno scores.
Heiskanen with two goals in his first playoff game for Dallas. Subban and Josi score for Nashville. If they don't get goals from their forward group, they're going to lose.
Stone scores two in loss for Knights. Pacioretty assists on both.

My picks did not go well, jeje.
Full credit to Columbus because after Tampa pardoned their life in the first period they really settled in and pushed back. I wonder if Hedman is hurt because on that all important second Blue Jackets goal about half way through the third period he looked like he was wearing cement boots. I mean, he made David Savard look like Denis Savard.
I went to bed around 11 so I did not see the Sharks pull away, but that first goal that Burns shot in off a Pavelski's jaw was insane.

The Jets may well replace the Caps: built to win on paper, but unable to put it together.

Heiskanen with two goals in his first playoff game for Dallas. Good player but had luck on both goals. Both were just wrist shots from the point that deflected and not off sticks. I guess that's why you simply get the puck to the net. Burns got an assist in the Sharks game by bouncing one in off Pvelski's mouth. Ouch.
