Kassian gets seven games for kicking Cernak Wow, that kick was a push with a skate, not a Rat kick by Linesman.... and it's peanuts compared to the Saperlipopette the Bruins in general and Big Nose in particular have done and gotten away with. A spear to the nads or guts... DoPS says no problem, a slash to the back of the legs... DoPS says no problem, a Cross check to the face 5k fine, but usually DoPS says no problem, a punch to the back of the head... DoPS says no problem, 2 guys jump 1 player... DoPS says no problem. The NHL is a joke of a league headed by a penguin Dracula that bends over for the head of the board of governors. But I'd take Jacobs as an owner over what we have now or any other owner in the league

If anyone can figure out the rationale on the suspensions given out (and not given out), then maybe those talents are being wasted.

Not sure where to put this but I watched the last 10 minutes of the 2nd period of the Rimouski / Quebec City game on Sportsnet. After 2 periods it's 9-1 Rimouski, shots are 32-9 and Lafreniere has 7 points.
Patrick Roy looking very defeated.

No way I want him anywhere near an office of power in the Habs organization. He might be worse than Bergevin. Why can't we find someone with an ego the size of Jupiter. That cockiness and arrogance is fine as a player and horrible in a manager.

Watching the Knights/Caps game... man is Vegas a strong team... Stone is a Superstar... hated him on the Sens, glad he's gone, wish he was on our team.
Edit: Caps come back with 2 goals in the 3rd... 4 minutes left

Nice game for Galchenyuk ( and they don't come very often anymore). Got the tying goal & the SO winner.

Nice game for Galchenyuk ( and they don't come very often anymore). Got the tying goal & the SO winner. The shootout goal was nice. Good fake against a good goalie and then backhanded up high. The tying goal was a snooker shot. Circled the net, threw it in front and it went in off Stecher's cheek. Yup, cheek. The one near his teeth, not the lower ones. Own goal and a sore mouth. Such a deal.

Florida wins in regulation. Habs now 8 points out of a playoff spot and the Panthers have 2 games in hand. Twenty games left for Montreal. No easy ones, because if you can't beat the Wings, there are no easy games left. Their last 5 games, no one is below them in the standings.

Oh boy, the Canes have to play 28 minutes with the emergency goalie. This dude is the zamboni driver for the Marlies.

What a thrill for Ayers. 42 year old Zamboni driver, and the Leafs suck the big one.

Every franchise has an emergency goalie on hand, in case of situations like last night. Maybe 2, I don't know.
What beef could be had with the league? The qualification/age of emergency goaltenders?
No team carries 3 goalies in a game-day lineup, do they?

No team carries 3 goalies in a game-day lineup, do they? The issue was the fact that it could have gone bad for the teams the leafs are fighting for a playoff spot with. If Ayers crapped the bed, leafs get an easy 2 points. I can see a change being made allowing the roster size to increase by 1 to allow for a 3rd goalie and a 100k being added to the cap.

A great night of hockey in the NHL:
a. Carey Price with a shutout,
b. Alex Ovechkin scores his 700th, and
c. A 42-year-old Zamboni driver sends the entire Maple Leaf fan base into hiding ...
Cheers.

Has any of the shine worn off Dubas and Keefe now? By the social media hysteria in Leafs Nation right now, you would sure think so.

Anybody see Button go off on them last night? Quite a performance.

Panthers had a 3-1 lead but Bobrovsky allowed 2 goals in the final 2 minutes of the 1st, now 3-3.
If the Panthers miss the PO, Bobrovsky has to shoulder a lot of blame. With a 3.24 GAA & a SP of 900, he hasn't been close to good enough.

The Panthers are finished. They looked lost out there. Even when they had the 3-1 lead they did not look like a strong cohesive team.

And Andersen was average, especially on their 3rd goal. Huge chance blown.
I thought with Bobrovsky in goal & Queneville as coach, they were finally going back to the playoffs. Goalie Bob has been underwhelming.
