I got my second yesterday and I was told it may have a bit more bite but so far, 30 hours later, NOTHING.
I can now pick up my old hobby of asking random woman for a hug.....

I'm beginning to wonder if I have no immune system or Krypton blood. No reaction.. well not true. I did feel a bit of pain in my arm when I shouldered a door hard to get it open. I knew I should if used my head.
BTW...the Indian/Delta variant is now taking over and not very good news. Even fully vaccinated are now 10% of the United Kingdom infections.
DO NOT LET YOUR GAURD DOWN.

The new Delta variant is far more infectious and reduced the first shot efficacy down to 30%. I've stopped posting new info here because it looks like nobody reads it. In another forum, i posted the latest news...and it's not great. Absolutely without the slightest reservation....get the second shot. You may be under the weather for a day or two. Big effen deal. Better then intubation or a body bag. Plus you will not be able to travel and possibly other restrictions. Forget that you don't know me. Forget that this is the internet. If you know anything from the decades you are here, you know that i am as serious as a heart attack on these matters. GET THE SECOND SHOT.

First shot AZ, second shot Moderna. Absolutely no side effects with the first shot. Was completely fine Sunday night, woke up feeling good Monday morning. Well, I mean, I wasn't happy about the Game 4 loss, and sleeping on it didn't make me feel better, but aside from that, fine. By Monday noon though, my arm was abnormally sore. Not crippling sore, but more sore than I would have expected. Like, I didn't raise it over my head if I didn't have to (though I could). Started to feel flu-ish, and rather worn out by the evening. Slept deeply, but woke up a lot, if that makes sense. Woke up feeling moderately lousy this morning. The kind of lousy where you would normally go "oh, I'm coming down with something." Not sick enough to take a sick day, and if this was the Before Times I probably would have gone into the office, but since I'm working from home now I just logged on as per usual. Now, about 48 hours later, I would say I'm almost 100%. Arm feels bruised, but mainly fine. A little tired, a little worn out, but I'm still going to stay up to watch the game. Get the shot.

No Krypton blood in you? You got...infected. Basically the mRNA tells the body to build a dead virus then tells the body to beat the cr@p out of it. Basically your body is fighting off a real infection. That is why there is a few day delay. Once it's over, it's over. Although....check for abnormal hair growth. I started a rumour that it restores receding hairlines....

There's talk now of a 4th wave centred around the Delta variant ... Coronavirus is taking the same path as the Spanish Flu of 1918-1920 ... just an opinion, but we shouldn't be surprised to still be in masks for a portion of 2022 ... Cheers.

Good on you for getting jabbed, BC ... a friend of mine had the Pfizer shot first, then a Moderna booster, and other than a sore arm, which they said was common, he felt just fine ... both Mrs. Dis and I had AZ for both shots, and we had zero reactions ... the reaction you had is what I sometimes get after a normal flu shot ... that happened twice to me over the years, so that's not a bad track record ... Cheers.

We are also leveling off. Given our daily trajectory, we also leveled off and currently at about 67.3% of all the population. Probably won't reach 70%. We use to be at 1.5% of the population per day and now it's about a tenth of that. Better then Americans at 53% but....we still have 6.5 million 12+ Canadians who want to play Russian roulette and take up our precious medical resources. Trudeau has 68 million vaccines coming in and we only need 53-54 million. We pay a premium at over $25 USD per and that means $300 million in the garbage can because they have a fixed shelf life.

I doubt I will get the 2nd shot. Had a bit of reaction to first shot. Feel it is just not for me. Even the mRNA have 33% efficacy on the existing Delta variant. That was enough to scare me from going to my father's funeral but obviously you are braver then me. Also made it clear that some people react with various degree of flu symptoms because...they ARE infected and that is how the body builds up the immune system. One shot is simply not good enough for the Delta variant which will be the dominant strain. AND now another variant of Delta has added the SA ability to evade vaccines. It may bring down the one shot effectiveness to fly swatter territory. Your body. Your choice. You're taking your chances. Good luck.

Had trouble with uriny tract system this week. Feel the needle was likely cause Two weeks ago, out of the blue I got Vertigo. It's gone now but I certainly didn't self diagnose or blame the vaccination. If you have an infection, SEE A DOCTOR. Don't self diagnose. It may be part of a bigger issue and you won't know because you "think" it's needle or vax related. Anywho...do what you want. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your father Cranky. My condolences. Thank you. This fcken virus stole even a simple thing like saying goodbye to my dad. I use to go and see him twice a year, now I'm going there to 4 empty walls...sigh I'm still raw and it's made me a bit more bitter with people and ths virus. We need to beat it collectively ...and get our lives back!

Roughly 12-14 days after covid shot. Never had it before. My body seems to have solved it on it's on. Going by timing strong chance it is related to shot. Seems like needle changes immune system

Guys....
DO NOT LET YOUR GAURD DOWN
The Delta variant is infectious and has already spiked the UK, Greek and Spanish numbers through the roof. Forget the summer respite of last year, this variant is so infectious, it's spreading like wildfire.
Now the good news....if you are fully vaxxed, your chances of hospitalization, icu or a body bag are massively reduced....but NOT ZERO....and don't take the chance.
This damn virus is not done with us yet and the anti-vaxxers are giving it more time and space, but we will get through it.

As of this morning, we're down to nine active cases in the city; however, we have the Alpha and Delta variants here now, too ... last night was the first time we'd gone out to a restaurant and been waited on, in quite a long time ... it was only to our local watering hole, but it was nice to just get back to some sort of normalcy again ... we have an anti-vaxxer lobby here, too, but it's minimal ... a much bigger issue are the 'invincible' young university and college students who, even without the anti-vaxxer lobby, still refuse to be dictated to regardless of the issue ... and, while I could have been part of that back in the day, we're not back in the day and, as such, I regard this 'my-stuff-doesn't-stink' mindset to be one of the biggest problems we have in curtailing the spread of the virus ... anyway, we're at nine cases now, so that's the bottom line ...
Cheers.

Thinks this fall we will see another wave. Said my reaction is a secondary affect of needle. It accelerates your immune system. Temporarily drawing more energy from other parts of body. Tends to lead to lightheadedness, nausea feeling, aches and pains etc.. Said to allow myself a day or two before I have needle

You can't self diagnose an issue that is totally unrelated to a reaction on the vaccine itself. And yes, there will be a fourth wave which will not be as deadly to the general public, not because it's any less deadly, it's because of the shift in the demographics that are vulnerable. Anti-vaxxers will be playing Russian Roulette. I'm very much still posting up to date info elsewhere because it seems no one has interest here.

I despair that, with current vaccination rates and the presence of more viral variants, herd immunity is achievable.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Germany’s centre for disease control: To reach herd immunity, 85 percent of those aged 12 to 59 would need to be vaccinated, as well as 90 percent of all those above the age of 60.
Will we get there without a mandate to require proof of vaccination to access non-essential services, i.e. vaccine passport? I doubt it.

People who are against the vaccine seem to be hard core against it. I know a girl making good money waiteressing in a high end restaurant who lost her job because she would not get it. She is kind of dramatic so not sure the full story there. But could be true Maybe they end up right. A lot is unknown about this vaccine.

I posted extensive statistical evidence on another site based on Ontario Health facts.
If looks at hospitalizations/icu/deaths for full vaccination, one dose and no vac. It's not even close. Not even on the same universe. Numbers like 300, 500, 2000 times more likely to die are the norm.
Meanwhile....ONE death from a vac reaction. That was AstraZenika and no longer administered.
If you are not vaxxed and with the Delta variant being even more infectious, you are playing Russian Roulette with 5 loaded chambers. Good luck.
